Re: Rooty-tooty point and shootys

That's what I'm asking? I'm mean, I'd hazard a guess I know more of the US Constitution than many random rednecks or trolls, but I'm hardly an expert in American constitutional law. Medical privacy is governed by statute (HIPAA) and can be amended by the same. More importantly, mental health profes...

Re: Essential Games By Platform

I think there was a Sega CD Snatcher?

The original Lunars are different but I consider the PSX ones definitive. YMMV

Re: Essential Games By Platform

Also, for Sega CD: I think you could maybe make the case for Night Trap as an historical oddity, but as far as quality games I think pretty much the only one that didn't have a better version on a later system was Dark Wizard.

Re: Hot game deals

I definitely appreciate the attempt to bring some actual exploration back in the mix, even if the result is the kind of superficial open world that just involves driving from points A to B with no real incentive for anything you could really call "exploration". The biggest problem I run in...

Re: Hot game deals

So, is Mass Effect Andromeda fun? It's only ten bucks used at this point. I'm not expecting a good story or a lack of glitches, but they at least didn't manage to make the game play worse than ME2, right? It's fine. No aspect of it is better than the previous trilogy but the core components of Mass...

Re: GOP Will Shit Itself

Now, I see three possibilities here: 1) Michael Wolff is an animagus. He knows what Murdoch said when he got off the phone because he was in the room, spying on him in the form of a Wolff-spider. 2) As Rupert Murdoch's biographer, Michael Wolff has unprecedented access to Rupert Murdoch, who willin...

A lesser sidebar issue is that if Conyers is taken down because of a leaked confidential settlement, we need to see every single one of them.

Re: GOP Will Shit Itself

Yeah, I'm not surprised the actual party doesn't want to oust Franken and Conyers (and Conyers is probably untouchable in general) but I expected more from liberals who had me convinced these past few weeks that we were actually going to start taking sexual harassment and abuse seriously only to giv...

Virtue-signalling internet lynch mobs continue to make me extremely uncomfortable, no matter where they lie on the political spectrum.

I'm honestly a little surprised McConnell et al have condemned him as strongly as they have. They may hate Moore - he was never their guy, of course - but they really, really cannot afford to lose this seat.

Re: Pros and Cons of Punching a Nazi Just Square in the Dick

The point is that calling these schmucks "Nazis" is like calling griefers in CoD "Green Berets". Let's just call a spade a spade here and refer to these Old Navy mosquito torch motherfuckers as "Wannazis". come on, man; the nazis around the time of the Beer Hall Putsch...

He's not addressing the 20 hour debate limit.

EDIT: https://www.congress.gov/crec/2017/07/2 ... gS4415.pdf "THE PRESIDING OFFICER: All time has expired." And then they proceed to a vote.

Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?

It's my understanding that the reconciliation rules limit the number of bills passed using that method—the fact that this failed under reconciliation does not eliminate it from future attempts, and even if it did, the fiscal year ends in like two months anyway. The one justification I could see for...
