Re: Jernalism!
Oh hey, Ronna Romney McDaniel's already been fired from NBC . How long was she there? Like two days? That's only 0.14 Scaramuccis! But really, how fucked up was it that she was even hired in the first place? Like, you could hire me to spout absolute nonsense and give crappy interviews for far less t...

This gave me a chuckle more than anything: Authors of the "WPATH Files" upset over "suspiciously" happy trans people.

I knew those emergency door release "solutions" were a death trap waiting to happen, but that's fucking grim. And that seems like a rather high-profile fatality, which makes me wonder what kind of impact it might have.

Huh, Ugandan women find a way to turn food waste into charcoal, helping save rainforests that are otherwise ravaged by logging? I love a good "garbage in, greatness out" story!

Re: In the Land of Wonderful Dreams
Oh yeah, I used to get divebombed by the little bastards regularly. Like, I'd be walking to the front door and a tiny Stuka would angrily squeak past my head. You'd see them diving at and chasing each other, too. I always chalked it up to having such a short lifespan; two years isn't a lot of time t...

Is that, like, two beers per person? Because with me it'd be like one for me and three for you, and I'm not sure if you're okay with that.
And I'll try my best with your puppy. I dunno, I don't have anything against puppies, I just have trouble managing small hyperactive beings.

Huh, nobody has seen humpback whales mating until 2022? And the first photographed encounter was between two males?

A police officer approached the scene, aiming a gun at Bushnell off-camera and ordered him to "get on the ground" multiple times, while another officer yells "I don't need guns, I need fire extinguishers". hahahah i fucking love cops They really do have no other language bes...

(I guess this thread is okay for Gaza/Palestine talk?) I don't listen to the radio much anymore, so I'm not sure if anyone else has heard how an Air Force service member (spoiling for violence) fucking lit himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in DC and later died as a protest against the ...

I don't suppose anyone has any experience with umbrella repair? Bent ribs in particular? Because it's been raining every day this month (with the exception of my birthday, for some reason) and all of my umbrellas are busted in some way. I should probably just get a new one, but the way our family's ...

What did kiddos get you for your birthday, Yoji? Well, they're kind of choosing my cake for me. Not sure which yet, but it'll have chocolate for sure. Besides that, we're going to spend the weekend in the area of Pismo Beach, looking for monarch butterflies and maybe fossils, then seeing my mom, li...

The remaster for Link's Awakening was MUCH better with the items. The sword, shield, and boots get their own buttons right away and forever, and you still get two hotkeys for your other stuff. There's still some switching things around, but it sure beats having to put away and take out your sword so...

sometimes i get jealous of younger people's cartoons because I mean like they're so much better than the toy-shilling slop we had in the 80s and 90s, and they have a ton of hot goth girls, but then I remember we had Gadget so it evens out And we still have our share of straight-to-toy bullshit nowa...

Re: GOP Will Shit Itself
I remember hearing for a while about the idea of the GOP fracturing between a Trump wing and a moderate wing. I can definitely imagine some goons trying to pretend they had nothing to do with that Trump guy, but you can't shake the Devil's hand and say you were just kidding.
