Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

That whole back and forth is a pretty good simulation of how the boards could get. History lesson complete.

We are now older and more bitter/powerful than you can possibly imagine!

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

I...honestly have no idea who you are. I actually made a point to never engage you since you were usually so wrapped up in politics and debate. Wasn't my idea of a good time. I was here to play games with people. Also you weren't on the IRC side of things save for one new years visit that lasted li...

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

I've been listening to Geo talk with his real voice for 15 years. If anything, it's worse. I met him a couple of times. Geo's real voice is almost constant chill, even if he's saying something pretty charged. Don't think I've heard from him in eight or nine years. He was the guy who got 'refugee' s...

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

I left because the antisocial squabbling, bitching, moderation circus, and general, "Well okay, we'll tolerate this over here, but fuck you guys over here." hit levels where the lot of you really made me question my choices in life, and I decided that I'd just go somewhere else. In hindsig...

Re: SHOCKtober

I've never seen a Halloween film. I've never seen a Friday the 13th. I've never seen a Nightmare on Elm Street. I've seen Jason X. When it was in theaters. It's a dumb movie that can be enjoyed if you can enjoy a dumb movie. Watch it with a friend, get some commentary going, and enjoy the ride. Mild...

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

I still vaguely wonder what happened to Arc. Was he offed by Palin campaign assassins? Did he escape to another country under an assumed name? Did he find out why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch? The answer is probably something boring. This is the part where he needs to turn up and post the next se...

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

We've refined the sins down to just the ones worth talking about on a regular basis. Corporate mergers occurred and that's why you get sexual thoughts whenever you belch after dinner now.

Re: A Brief History of Brontoforumus

Niku's the guy whose going to show you weird Japanese stuff in the back of a station wagon while be driven to the worst get-together ever, where one fellow thought bringing roughly 30 people from across the country into his mom's townhome was a good idea. We are a group of people who collectively sh...

Re: Hey [%target] Whatcha Playin'?

Forza Horizon 4 is my first step back into the series since Forza 3. They're very careful in the language to never imply that anybody has lost a race. They'll print 'Finished' on the screen, even if you're in 12th place. Screwed up on a corner and took out a ton of barriers? You got destruction poin...

Re: Game musings and news

They had a series of terminations occur early on after Walking Dead, because they kept trying to make adventure games and not Walking Dead format games. Apparently they did it one at a time, like they were assuming people would get the idea.

Re: Game musings and news

I have a source who was with the company. This is the result of changes made by shifting leadership a few years ago. The way it was described to me is that "With big licences like these, we cannot fail." From the stories I got to hear, their dev team was expected to perform wizardry with l...

Re: Mongrel in miniature land

I have no idea if these are worth the money , but I've had friends swear by them, so long as you have a window to put the vent in. The filter (Blue piece) catches most of it. Also, for learning to airbrush, Get a piece of flat scrap material (like cardboard) and experiment. Brief burst. Slow sweep m...

Re: Mongrel in miniature land

For the erupting god finger and/or final heat end, if you want to go all out, there's an LED kit for the MG God Gundam . And if you want added heroic detail then you can order Domon's face . Also for that move, since it's a concentrated blast on a single point, burn and smoke lines away from a singl...

Re: Mongrel in miniature land

The dragon is many, many hours of going back over the body scales with various shades of blue. I wanted the shoulders up along the neck to be perfect and I just about got it. The model got parked for six months on it's side and acquired a layer of dust. I ended up leaving some of it on there since t...
