You probably have a Timmy's I bet, but their food is just plain GODAWFUL now. I bet something out of the Valentine's dumpster would beat Timmy's food.

My first thought was that he's only telling the truth based on a technicality.

Like I said, "Not accurate" is a very deliberately ambiguous choice of words.

Incidentally, Ziro's current avatar is eerily on-topic at the moment.

Re: Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents, and branding irons

Yes, a court could easily rule that way. It would even make a lot of sense for them to rule that way. Not gonna happen. I dunno, how does the EU compare to the US in terms of trademark law? I know they helped create our current fucked-up life-plus copyright system. I was thinking about this yesterd...

Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?

Mueller's office disputes BuzzFeed report that Trump directed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress Very interesting choice of words by Mueller. It's possible that the whole thing is a phony story sold to gullible reporters by an inside man who was possibly paid for info. At this point I'm pretty sure t...

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY

Everybody talking about McDolan's for a week straight actually made me feel like I wanted it, which does happen once every six months or so.

I'm sure I will come to regret my choice of dinner later, as pretty much always happens when I go to McDonalds, but it was decent enough going down.

Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?

BuzzFeed is reporting that Trump explicitly and directed Cohen to lie to congress. Problem is, it's still just only Buzzfeed reporting it with no corroborating documents or info yet. Buzzfeed has actually gotten pretty good at this whole "journalism" thing, so I wouldn't dismiss them out ...

Gotta wonder if the counterclockwise facing means the design company saw the problem and thought that would fix it. Paying some west coast iamverysmarts a billion dollars to ruin your branding is a universal brain fart in the corporate world, when any random person that can put an .svg together wou...

Re: Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents, and branding irons

It would be nice to pretend that if they had done enough to preserve the trademark, they still wouldn't be able to apply a trademark on "Big Mac" against a restaurant named "Supermacs" with a self-titled burger. I think that might still be possible. They are two different terms ...

Re: Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents, and branding irons

Oh this is a nice touch. EDITOR'S NOTE: On Jan. 17, the Washington Examiner published a story with the headline "Not even the EU is that stupid: McDonald's hasn't really lost the trademark to 'Big Mac'." The author drew a conclusion from his conversation with the Supermac company that was ...

On the other hand, it's entirely possible that it's a case of biased and/or out-of-touch judges. I remember an anecdote in The Real Frank Zappa Book where Frank described an incident in a UK court where the judge did not know what a record was and someone had to explain it to him. https://www.youtu...
