Re: Sometimes Science is More Art than Science, Morty

This ep was good, frantic, Rick & Morty fun. And... pretty much nothing else. Again, it's really hard to grasp why Beth does things aside from the fact she needs to for the plot to keep going. I guess that now that R&M has shown what it's really capable of, an episode that's a mere extremel...

She noticed there were 36 ships and there are 36 klingon clans and that means they were all ready to pledge allegiance to the huge or something.

Re: The Star Trek Thread

I don't quite have a handle on Michael yet? Like, at first she wants to do a scorched-earth strike based on nothing but Ghost Dad, but then she wants to take prisoners? So what, she's a loose cannon but she DOESN'T get results?

On the other hand, they're unlikely to be able to reach any concert halls.

Not sure how much trust I put on the "layers" hypothesis. If I were asked, I'd wager the brain has a whole load of perception "modules" - one for human faces, one for understanding places and rooms and the like, one for connecting objects to words - and all these modules are comp...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show

I was disappointed that we never found out about any deeper purpose from Littlefinger. I dunno, it's nice to have one guy that thinks he's a great manipulative mastermind but is really only kind of good at buttering rich people up, and whose amazing stealthy plan immediately folds the moment anyone...
