Re: (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Animes

Finished Somali and the Forest Spirit, it's a nice and pleasant show. Good vibes. I liked it! Probably due to it only getting one season, it ultimately doesn’t really amount to anything, and while it’s got a good source of drama, none of it coheres to where you might be emotionally affected by it. Re: State of the Brontos

Noticed twitter embeds weren't working again.

I looked into it, and it doesn't look like anyone's found an answer yet:

I would love Discord for the ease of use but whatever is best for the community.

Re: TV Series On The Television

The CG is surprisingly not bad, since it's all underwater? All they had to model was the Seaquest, the little drones that buzz around it, their shuttle submersible, and a regular-ass submarine. Against the dark and shit-filled deep-sea water, it looks decent.

Re: TV Series On The Television

On a similar note I started watching Seaquest again out of some vague impulse to see how it compared to my memory. It is very not good, but in season 1, there are sometimes moments where the great lead (Roy Schnider) and the socio-political setting where they're mining the ocean floor come together ...

I've been enjoying the manga too, every time I finish a volume I'll give it to my teenage nephew, for whom this is his first series. That kid loves him some Delicious in Dungeon.

Re: Animotion and Car Tunes

Really loved Master of the Universe: Revolution. Wraps up the He-Man mythos in a nice way, and understands what's fun and weird about this world and these characters. The ah... the new characters are not particularly good still, but everything else is fantastic. I would not have expected this much l...

Re: The Star Trek Thread

I've been playing a Star Trek Adventures ttrpg game with an Achewood group every other Saturday, and I gotta say, Star Trek does not make for the best fit for an improv adventure. Turns out, being in Star Trek is essentially just being at work. Everyone is in their own specific room for their specif...

Re: TV Series On The Television

Latest season of For All Mankind just sorta kept on the trajectory the show’s been on since season 3, adding more and more soap opera bullshit, and less and less alt history stuff. I appreciated the attempt at a company town/exploited labor/unionizing storyline, it’s just like, shit, I wish it wasn’...

Re: Game musings and news

Grounded is super good, I'm loving this game. First survival craft 'n wham I've played since The Forest, and it just feels like every system has all the quality of life improvements I've always craved from these kinds of games. You can move full boxes of stuff around, you can parry, you can put tog...

Re: Animotion and Car Tunes

Scott Pilgrim is amazing. So, so glad they went the direction they did with it. Pantheon S2 marks the end of the show, turns out, and looking into it, evidently they had a two-season order initially, then got cancelled after one season, so they got news this would be it halfway through the productio...

We'll see I guess - decently fun little short!
