Re: #Tell Friday
Is it still April 25 where you are? If so, you can observe an important holiday: on this day in 2011, in a game of vampires vs werewolves, the wolves banded together with me and Niku to lynch the last vampire, triggering their victory condition, but Niku survived as the weretiger, winning the game a...

Re: VIDEODROME
I spent much of the day trying to remember the words to this particular looping audio sample that I had stuck in my head. SOMETHING, THE SOME-THING (something, the some-thing) SOMETHING, THE SOME-THING (something, the some-thing) Finally, I remember: it's from this stupid video (from the people who ...

Re: The Birthday thread: Rebirth
There is a person named Jason Love who posted on this website under the username "Newbie" who had a birthday on March 29, yes. I am sure that, if he were here, that person would appreciate the birthday affirmation. However! I am something different. At some impossible-to-define moment, I b...

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
I got to play real life jokeboat of my own last week (in that I was on a cruise and there were comedians on board). Since my other forum has integrated image hosting, I posted semi-daily update posts in a thread over there . I never had much interest in cruising in the first place, much less after s...

Re: Hey [%target] Whatcha Playin'?
Whenever you do, make sure you play on the hardest difficulty! Both of VanillaWare's most recent games have novel approaches to RTS/Tower defense combat, and they're both too easy on most of the difficulty settings.

Re: Hey [%target] Whatcha Playin'?
Considering how amazing 13 Sentinels was, I felt like I had to get VanillaWare's next game no questions asked, so I picked up Unicorn Overlord. This seems like the narrative/gameplay inverse of 13 Sentinels: the story's the most generic fantasy war storyline you could imagine, but it's executed well...

Re: Ol' shoot 'em in the leg
Unfortunately, in a two-party system, the only way to effectively communicate to your party that you are dissatisfied with their choices is to make them believe you might not vote for them. You might still actually vote for them, but it's critical that they believe that they've lost your vote. Other...

Re: Final fucking fantasy 22 3/4
Today, I finally finished Endwalker , second credits sequence included. Shadowbringers may exceed it for hard-hitting emotional moments—I cannot handle the scene in which you bring Ardbert's crystal to Seto without sobbing—but overall, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is my "most satisfying&quo...

I used to be really enamored with the guy. So much so that I once sent him an email that prompted him to email me back one of his unpublished novels. It was alright.

Re: Animotion and Car Tunes
As somebody who never read the original, I enjoyed the parts of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off that paired up characters who didn't interact much in the film. It was nice to see characters like Knives transcend the roles they initially occupied. While the show does "cute" and "animated spect...

We were scheduled to get the booster on Friday at CVS since we're going to a meetup next month. CVS sent a text saying that the supply has been delayed and rescheduled us for the Saturday after next.

Re: The Song Stuck in Your Brain
It's pretty fucking good, yeah. Heavily recommend going in blind, but it's sort of a "real time with pause" tactics/tower defense game mixed with a VN/minimal adventure game. The original release had some balance issues, but the latest version improves things in that regard—but really, the...

Re: Animotion and Car Tunes
The Venture Bros movie was just about everything I hoped it would be. If we don't get any more, this answered enough of my questions that I'll be satisfied. I hope they get to make more, though.

Re: The Song Stuck in Your Brain
Really bums me out that -The Branched- arrange album for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is mainly available as digital downloads since I don't have a CD burner anymore. If I just wanted to listen on my laptop or phone, YouTube still works fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYqoW7UnK9g I guess I shouldn'...

Re: Legend of Zelda: Clever Subtitle
Regarding the depths : Each lightroot's name is a shrine's name backwards. But more specifically: I think the depths exist as a reason to build vehicles and weapons platforms. Device stockpiles are much more obvious that they are on the surface, and the (annoying) landscape is a chal...

Re: Played Too Late: A Critical Analysis of Breath of the Wild
OH, gross, I hate when I realize I've been remembering phantom memories. It turns out sticky frogs were not in BotW, so my recollection of having them but never bothering to make them into potions because I couldn't spare the monster parts was ENTIRELY FICTITIOUS

Did you make sticky recipes? Does anyone?
I can answer that question: I made sticky recipes—in TotK. Why did I never do that in BotW? I don't remember.
No conclusion.
