I didn't mind DkS2 because it was a refinement of DK1 in a lot of ways. It did what it set out to do. I had my fun with it, but I recognized the fact I enjoyed DkS1 more. DeS I still hold in high regard, but looking back there were a few dumb decisions in that game that I'm glad were corrected late...
