A Holiday Appears!
Re: A Holiday Appears!
Merry Christmas.
I left my stylish man-purse at the Christmas (eve) party.
I am the fail.
EDIT:
But do not be sad!
This suffering is my (unintentional) gift to you.

Merry Christmas, everyone. And well-wishes to everyone who doesn't celebrate it, especially the ones that own restaurants and keep them open.

Happy Filthy Communists of North America Day!
Fun fact: Unlike most of the rest of the world which celebrates workers on May 1st (The modern interpretation of May Day), Canada celebrates in early September because of some uniquely Canadian labour protests which led to liberalization of trade union laws around that time in September 1872. So our date is different for specific national reasons. The US is the other country to celebrate at the same time, because, no joke, your trade unionists simply copied us, a decade later, after seeing Canadian labour parades.

It is surprisingly difficult to get a nonchalant skull mask. They're all dirty, bloody, mad animal hybrids with fangs.
not that this has something to do with my super secret and totally original costume or anything

Re: A Holiday Appears!
Okay my War Boy costume came out great for last Saturday's Halloween party, but holy hell is clown makeup hard to get off. Also, apparently there's a second step after applying it, where you cover yourself in flour to "let it set". Good things to know before trying something like this.
Since I didn't get any pictures from the party, I'm gonna go with my brother to Salem this year, and plan on getting some vid of me doing the chrome teeth spray with randos in the surging mob of costumed Salem-goers.
I got some petroleum jelly to get the makeup off this time, so, hopefully that'll be less of an ordeal.

Re: A Holiday Appears!
So since I'm half-giant I had a brilliant idea for a simple and low-budget costume:
Jaws constructed out of polycaprolactone, which is a super convenient modeling plastic - it melts to a clay/putty-like consistency above 140F, and sticks to itself at that temperature, but then cools to a flexible, tough plastic that can be cut/sanded/etc as normal. Covered in some foil tape to give the appearance of metal.
I'd do a bit more to make it look professional (smoother surfaces, hair cut, maybe even contacts) if it wasn't just for a single use for a halloween party.

Re: A Holiday Appears!
Okay so, I'm never doing that much makeup on a costume again, but last night was a ton of fun:
(I'm the one with black around the forehead)
Met a Rose.
And I met the big guy!

Ride Eternal! Or at least for one night.

Okay... I don't.... entirely remember meeting the Power Rangers that night, but they seem like nice chaps
