(Related: in the latest issue of Fantastic Four, Johnny suggests they go to a restaurant called Gyros Reborn. I had a sensible chuckle.)

(Also, there's a bit where Reed keeps saying "Hell yes" in inopportune contexts that I'm about 99% sure is a Star Trek 4 reference.)

I like how CVS texts me 17 times a day with irrelevant bullshit but doesn't bother to tell me when a scheduled refill comes up but I'm out of refills and they haven't heard back from my doctor.

I think this is less a pet peeve and more a pet terror, but

that co-worker who screenshares in the meeting and you can see they have 50+ tabs open

and they complain that their computer runs slow and they need me to order a new one

"Do you shut it down every night?" I ask. They laugh.

"A new computer will not help you."

So steam was having trouble updating a game, kept saying it was corrupted and I realized I hadn't played it in like six months so I was like fuck it, uninstall that will take care of the issue. Well now its just perpetually setting in my update queue 'unscheduled' and I can't see a way to get it removed. Steam really is a piece of shit man.

America lists every temperature in Fahrenheit and it's throwing off my ability to get ready for the day. Is 55°F too cold for just a dress/no leggings? How about 60°F? I know that 65°F water is too cold to swim in, but I'm not swimming, I'm walking to the store.

55F is a bit chilly, wear leggings and probably bring a jacket

55 - 60 can be either warm or cold, depending on the amount of sunlight, wind, rain, and angry gods. I try to layer.

Anything under 70F is "cold" to me, but I am the last person in the world to listen to when it comes to temperature. I am a big California Girl Baby.

On the other hand, my aunt from WA came to stay with us when I was a kid and it was 80F and she was complaining that she was "going to melt, how can you stand this" and I was standing there like ???

Though the worst weirdo ever was my uncle from Hawaii sleeping under 2 heavy blankets in 75 degree weather. What. How fucking humid is it where you live bro that you need to sleep in a literal self-sweat sauna

My wife is from Montana. We do not always agree on the appropriate temperature for the thermostat.

Oh, that's me. I cannot deal with what most people consider pleasantly warm. I'm sitting here in front of an open window and a fan while it's 61 degrees outside.

Yeah, I get a lot of this too with the people I've lived with. I'm a big baby about cold even compared to other Californians. Like, most Californians would say something in the 73-76 degree range is ideal for them, but for me it's more like 77-79. Even 80 or 81 isn't bad. And I'm a lot more comfortable at 90 than ... well, pretty much anyone I've ever met excluding my aunt and uncle from Arizona, which I'm sure you can relate to.

Holy crap. Yeah, if I turned on a fan when it was 61 degrees, I would turn into a popsicle.

Anyway Buge 55F is pretty cold even for most people. I always bring a jacket with me if I'm unsure, because as annoying as it is to lug a jacket around if you decide you don't need it, it's even more annoying to be cold all that time instead.

I've never been a fan of warm weather, but now that I'm going through menopause, it's the literal ninth circle of hell for me 8 months out of the year.

Please why couldn't we just precipitate an early ice age instead? Why does it have to be a greenhouse?

We've got two! And a third we don't use (we bought a second-hand trifecta a few years back)!

Actually we can only use one right now because the bedroom one had a bird nesting in it all winter - need to clean that out. But the bigger main one in the living room is all cleaned up again.

look Local Grocery Store, we all know food money is tight these days, but even a Canadian knows that a list of "BBQ essentials" that lists pepperettes as the only meat product is a gastronomic crime of the highest order.

"That's not a threat, it's a promise" is something dipshits say because they think it makes them sound tough but actually it just makes them sound like they don't know what words mean.

"Sign up at online.metlife.com"

As opposed to fucking what? The metlife.com that isn't online?

I mean, Jesus, this is a fucking subdomain; they don't even have the excuse that somebody else took the domain they wanted and they had to add "online" to get a unique domain.

Who is online
