Great, thanks for asking, Mrs. Thread Title!
My Casio LCD games came in the mail today all the way from the Australian outback!

My car (motorbike) insurance went DOWN $80.
WTF. It's an Easter Miracle!
(this post probably only sounds not-insane to people in Ontario)

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
So, I went for my annual checkup with my dermatologist today for monitoring my lymphoma-precursor condition (nothing too bad, it just has to be monitored, though I did go for UV-based rad sessions for a couple months when it was first diagnosed about six years back - Sunburns three times a week! Yay! Let's never do that again!).
Anyway, I also have some tiny cysts that appear on my head under my hair from time to time. No big deal and never any real trouble. But there's one hard knot right in the middle of the top of my head. Still nothing visible - about a quarter-inch round. Sometimes it's annoying and the doc told me to tell him if my cysts ever bothered me, so they looked at that today too. Turns out it's not a cyst or even a lipoma (which I also have a few of), it's an odd type of unpigmented and hard mole.
The most interesting thing about it is that apparently my skull also has a small dent in the top to accommodate the underside of this mole.
The jokes write themselves. Between this and the ass-cheek-brain I had removed a few years back, my body seems to have a flair for the comedic.

Doing taxes.
We filed jointly last year but are filing separately this year, because of some pecularity in student loan terms where my wife's student loan payments will go way way up this year if we file jointly.
Arizona is a community property state. I have spent all day banging my head against what this means. Basically it means that in Arizona, if you're married and file separately, you're still pretty much filing jointly, and also you have to fill out twice as much paperwork.
In a nutshell, we each fill out two W-2 forms, and each report half of our own income and half of the other's. Repeat for basically everything else. With the end result that...we pretty much end up owing the same as we would if we just each reported our own damn income/deductions.
At least now I know how to do it, in case the student loan problem persists and we have to do it again next year.
Here are the two most coherent explanations I found on the subject, in case anyone else has to deal with this nightmare:
Community Property States - Federal Allocation Record - Married Filing Separately
Married Filing Separate Allocation - Form 8958
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need a beer and possibly some anxiety medication.

Family Feud is on in the dining room.
The prompt is "Name a sport that only takes one ball to play"
And my dumb ass immediately goes "Tour de France"

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
As soon as I stepped outside this morning to go to work, a bird pooped on me.
I guess it was bound to happen eventually, and at least it hit my jacket instead of my fancy dress, but still feels like a bad way to start a Monday.

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
I've had a raging headache for a fair amount of the day and didn't really pay it any mind until about an hour ago when I remembered that I hadn't eaten some my lunch break at work.
Which was at about 3:15 AM.
Whoops!

Not sure the best place for this, but FOX put a copyright claim on one of my shitty youtube reaction clips and now I feel like my channel is a real boy.

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
A bird pooped on me, again. This is getting ridiculous and statistically improbable.
Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
I'm sorry, Silver. A bird pooped on my bike a few days ago.
Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY
I finally got around to putting beer on tap in my house! (Check obituary thread in roughly 1 week)

My mom found a Diebold employee pen on the ground and - somehow having never heard of the Diebold corporation (Diebold ATMs are everywhere here) - thought it was an evil omen.
I mean, this is getting uncomfortably close to cargo cult territory.

It's just using picnic taps right now but once I get the collar put on the freezer and the faucets installed I'll take some.
