Thad, what is the best thing?

To get a deal on beer so good, the man at the register does a price check and then furrows his brow and says "Really?"

My day started with me drinking my coffee too fast, coughing, choking, and then shooting said coffee out of my nose. That pretty much set the tone for the whole day, really.

So, I'm a stagehand. I go to shows and events and get them ready and I go and take them down. Sometimes (Often), I go to a client business's warehouse to help get the materials ready to go out to a show ("prepping") or put up materials that just came back from a show ("de-prepping").

Or sometimes I go down to the warehouse to wash mud off of hundreds of feet and hundreds of pounds of audio, lighting and power cable because someone decided to hold an outdoor festival in a goddamn bayou right after a flash flood.

I worked 34 hours over the last three days and I had one of those days off.

Ran a credit report to see why an application failed.

Can't access the report because I incorrectly answered the identity confirmation questions about the auto and home loans I've taken out.

Ohhhhh, that's not good. What's the next workaround for proving your identity to the bureau?

I can fax them paperwork to prove it and file a dispute, but going to the bank tomorrow is the more immediate way to have someone run a check for anything I should know about, if not actually do anything about it.

K I wasn't sure how they handled it in the US.

Yeah, whatever you do you'll need to get all over this. There will be so some shitty work to do before this is cleared up.

Best case scenario. The company providing the report screwed up somehow, and they were asking me about some shlub's mortgage.

My ganglion cyst reappeared, so I went to the doctor. Had to wait an extra hour/hour and a half because the doctor was late, then got told I could ignore it, inject it again, or just get it removed altogether.

So now I have an appointment for surgery next Wednesday. It'll keep me from typing that day, but I should be able to go back to work on Thursday and hopefully it won't get in my way too much until I can get the stitches out.

Annoying, but I do enough with my hands that I'd really rather just get it over with.

Is this so minor that they can give you localized anesthesia?

Yeah, it's not a big surgery. If it was I'd be a lot more nervous about it, but as it is it's just annoying.

Hey, that's me today!

Except that I think it might be Equifax specifically being obnoxious. Tried pulling all three of my annual freebie reports, the other two went through online without hiccups (including some verification questions like "who is your mortgage provider?" - "NONE OF THE ABOVE THANKS FOR RUBBING IT IN"), and some quick searches turn up other complaints about Equifax making you mail it in and using it as a way to push you towards their paid services.

Sounds exactly like me than! I also had the issue with Equifax and the only explanation I got was from a third party at my bank basically shrugging and saying they must have messed up.

I didn't think to look into the integrity of the government guaranteed credit service.

even though I typed that sarcastically, reading it back I don't know why I thought that was a good idea
