Still moving.

Back hurts, have managed to get two ingrown toenails and am rocking sandals at work today, fingertips are sore from spending yesterday untwisting wires, left palm has a small cut in it from where I decided it would be a good idea to hold a network jack in one hand while operating the punch tool with the other, and there's still a lot of stuff to move, but we took care of the big stuff. Should have Internet at new house within the next couple hours and time to use Internet at new house who-knows-when.

Still figuring out where to put most of my stuff; new house is roughly same size as old one but has a pretty different layout. My cousin says he'll take any of my old VHS collection that I don't want; not sure why as he doesn't even have a working player, but that solves the problem of not knowing what to do with all those damn tapes. (I plan on keeping any shows that haven't been released on DVD; I've got some unreleased MST3K's in there and the late-'90's CG Voltron.)

Several of the recently-wired drops (ethernet, USB, HDMI) don't have wall plates yet, which makes moving furniture tricky because I don't want to block them until they're done (and, presumably, have cables attached to them). And I don't know where I put my shampoo or my washcloths.

Dog is finally starting to calm down and rest instead of constantly pacing. But there is a neighbor dog and she keeps trying to climb the fence when he barks.

Low on beer; intend to grab at least a couple six-packs from the old house when I head over today.

I went to Galveston for the sole purpose of putting a single spotlight on a pole and then, 6 hours later, taking that one spotlight down.

I am going to be paid 144 dollars for this.

Sometimes being a stagehand is weird.

For full effect, know that these are things that I learned by my mother just casually mentioning them over some Chinese buffet food like it was nothing:

#1: My mother had an IUD implanted when I was conceived.

#2: It was recommended that she have the IUD taken out to prevent infection. The procedure had a 90% chance of terminating the pregnancy. She went through with it.

Do the entire math. The total chances of my existence are 0.08%, not counting all the stuff that happened after I was born.

Definitely start describing yourself as an abortion survivor from now on, at every opportunity.

... Did they bite the bullet and give you a severance or did they give an excuse?

... How does unemployment work in Canada anyway?

Turns out I have $40 extra dollars than I thought I did.
Now I just have to resist the temptation to buy probably-gnilley games with it.
I keep hearing Divinity: Original Sin is teh hawtness.

Not helping.

Though... now that I think about it... I don't know where I would go to do that...
Delicious being the important trait, I mean.

The one thing, literally the one and only thing, I miss about living in the south is the availability of fried chicken. I think there's one Popeye's near where I am now.
