At 1 am she went in with chest pains by 4 her kidneys were shutting down and she had to be transferred by noon she was no long responsive and she was gone by 7 pm. She's was 52. She worked a full shift yesterday. She drove HERSELF to the hospital. The doctor said he has never seen anyone deteriorate that quickly and that he has no idea what happened to her.

Re: Shittier Days
Sorry to hear that.
I can only speak from my own experience. You're gonna feel disconnected from reality for a while, like you're going through a dream. Speaking of dreams, your mom is probably going to show up a bunch in those, and when you can't tell the difference between the waking world and the dreaming one she's going to be alive and well and you're going to know something is wrong with that. Also, things will get easier, as horrible as that sounds. You'll be amazed at just how much weight is off your shoulders now.
I suggest some comfort food. When my dad died one of the first things I did was grab a cheeseburger. It won't make you feel better, but it will help nonetheless.

I'm sorry to hear it. We're all sorry to hear it.
You need something, you ask us.

Re: Shittier Days
My condolences, Joxam. It might feel real lonely for a while, but you're not alone.
Re: Shittier Days
That... is awful. I'm so sorry
Re: Shittier Days
Even an asshole like me is here for you.
*hugs*

Joxam...I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you're going through.
Re: Shittier Days
Sorry, my friend; condolences to both you and Malikial. You take good care.
Re: Shittier Days
Apparently my cousin's 4 month old died today. SIDS, or something like it. Nothing even really to say about that, it's just awful all around.
update: apparently this happened while she was with a babysitter, so, double fun. That'll take a while.

Though I never got first hand exposure I know how important to your entire family, and what an all-around awesome lady, your mother was.
I sincerely hope you, William and your sister are all doing well and the rest of your family is managing to pull themselves together to help and deal with the situation as best they can.
Re: Shittier Days
The funeral is over, it was tough but it's done now. Can't wait until tomorrow when the rest of my extended family goes back home to Texas and we can start getting back to normal up here.

Hope you and Mal are doing alright.
Re: Shittier Days
Jox, I haven't said anything because I don't know what to say.
I'm sorry, man.
When I lost my uncle it was shockingly fast as well. It doesn't seem real for a long time.
She sounded strong. I know you and Mal are strong too.

Today I had to help with a garage sale
I mowed the lawn in the downtime and went to put the cover back on the mower and it was in a huge bed of ants and covered in ants and I fell in a bed of ants
I scratched my arms so much they bled and are covered in bandages now.
I was helping load up some stuff onto a trailer and slipped and nailed my knee so hard on the metal bar I called 911 because I thought I may have shattered it. I'm having crazy psychotic depression and obsession attacks.
My brother broke his phone and is being a huge pissant about it.
Shit sucks.
