Kids will also use really strange idioms when they don't know a word. maybe "fat letter parent" means capital letter?

Yeah, a lot of that nonsense is limited vocabulary. (I'll report back when kiddo is using words and not just hand signs plus babble.)

And little kids do things over and over because they're still picking up on how everything works. I can't say what motivates anybody to open and shut a door 50 times, but something kept her from getting bored with it.
