As best I can tell, basically you'll be sharing your home internet with anyone else using this bullshit in the area ("charging" the device) and then vice versa.

Except that it says it's nothing to do with anyone else's internet connection, and claims that the key will talk to satellites.

It also stands for "Wifi Exchange" (which sounds like sharing your internet) and that was the only giving them the benefit of the doubt on actually in any way being possible that I could think of. Also the only way that, to me, charging the device off your home internet made any goddamn sense.

As charging we mean also exchange , your home wi-fi will exchange internet between the satellite for later use , something like charging the satellite with our device.

Something like receiver and sender , the satellite is receiving that internet you "charged in the device" but not using it . After the Wi-Fi is turned on the satellite is sending back that internet and you can use it anywhere you want.

I don't think that making any goddamn sense is part of their pitch here.

It's a pitch to people who don't have any particular reason to know how telecommunications work, and would therefore assume that it's perfectly reasonable that bandwidth can be stored and carried like electricity.
