Re: Fun Facts
Also apparently the tails section of the Space Shuttle, as well as an animator on Dora the Explorer and other shows?
Man, that's just an awesome career period.

CW: Not actually fun at all. (Could we rename thread to "Today I learned"?)
While "British historical figure was a huge racist" is rarely even the least bit surprising, discovering that Charles Dickens wasn't merely some garden-variety Victorian racist, but was literally a bloodthirsty maniac who wished to genocide the entire population of colonial India (then 350 million people), did induce some wide-eyed blinking.

Richard Milhouse Nixon wanted to be the first Eminem
EDIT:
The undated confession was rediscovered during a 1997 tour through the Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California by a Washington Post reporter, who was listening to one of the many recordings the president—who resigned in 1974 amid the Watergate scandal—made both in and out of office. In it, the former president said:
“I have often thought that if there had been a good rap group around in those days, I might have chosen a career in music instead of politics.”
[...]
In 1990, Spy magazine asked Kid of the popular duo Kid ‘n Play what a Nixon rap performance would look like. “I see him as a solo rapper and he’d probably have, like, two dancers,” he said. “They’d probably be dressed in some intelligence uniforms, some Watergate break-in uniforms … he’s good at cutting, particularly tape.”

Leonid Brezhnev was such a madman behind the wheel that he almost killed Nixon.
Re: Fun Facts
The Legend of Zelda cartoon (1989) is 13 episodes of 15 minutes each, meaning the total show has a runtime of 195 minutes.
If you compile all the "Excuuuuuuuuuuse me, Princess" into a single supercut, it's 1 minute 45 seconds long.
This means that Link saying "Excuuuuuuuuuuse me, Princess" is almost 1% of the total runtime. Much more if you exclude OP and ED.

Re: Fun Facts
So not that Japan was ever immune to anti-Semitism, but back when the the Protocols of the Elders of Zion were first circulating, the Japanese, being the funny folks we know and love, got real into them. Only it didn't quite work out as the anti-Semites wanted, because the consensus response among senior Japanese political and business circles to "Jews control the world banking system" was "Wow, these guys sound awesome! We need to hire some!"
And they did! A ton of Japanese modernization and expansion leading up to the Russo-Japanese war was funded by Jewish investment bankers based out of New York, specifically because the Japanese gov't thought this was some kind of inside track and sought them out.
Apparently this still kind of continues today, where western Jewish businessmen visiting Japan will be asked by senior politicians or corporate heads about how they can join the Secret Protocols Cool Kids Club (which is how I ended up hearing about this whole deal; a friend was talking about how this regularly happened to his old boss), and like, I cannot imagine how incredibly awkward those conversations must be.

Re: Fun Facts
There are more trees in Canada than stars in the entire galaxy.
I know with the wildfires this seems like the prelude to some kind of joke, but it's genuine. Canada is estimated to have over 300 billion trees (!!!), while the counts of stars in the Milky Way generally range between 100-200 billion.
