Tangentially related to this thread: Last night at work I trained the new girl. She was born in 1997.

I think he's expressing skepticism that somebody under 25 has a job.

And I already got a gift today, I got let off of jury duty after being on call the past two days. I could have done without the summons at all though because the past two days sucked.

Happy getting-out-of-jury-duty day. I celebrated mine this summer.

For my birthday on Saturday, my boyfriend organized 11 of my friends (some of whom he'd never met) into a surprise party for me. Apparently because I said months ago that I'd never had a surprise party. My living room was filled with pink and silver balloons and crepe paper and hello kitty party hats and people from out of town. There was a tower of lavender earl grey cupcakes and pink lemon cupcakes and cucumber tea sandwiches. I got all teary-eyed, and it wasn't just because I was recovering from a birthday migraine.

Then I tried to play some birthday DDR and got birthday hip and foot and ankle injuries. Apparently being 34 and not having played DDR since being 24 does not reduce the stubborn belief that I can totally play on Standard difficulty indefinitely.

Dawww~

That is the most heartwarming set of circumstances around a hip, foot, and ankle trinjury I've ever heard of.
