Alan Dershowitz apparently is obsessed with false rape accusations. a cursory google search yields this:

So, going by this decade's metric of "Guy turns out to be actually doing the thing people have been joking for ages about them doing"...

Trigger (ha ha, get it) warning for Grath.

PROTIP: If you own a gun over a year without negligent discharging it at least once, you aren't handling it enough. NDs are a natural part of handling weapons, just like tweaking your back is part of weightlifting and car accidents are part of driving. I ND several times a rear because I actually HANDLE and know how to USE my weapons. It makes me a better firearms handler and marksman, and it's a small part of the price you pay in the sheepdog lifestyle

Simple fact is, the "safety mentality" will build mental blocks in your head that will get you killed. You need to be comfortable putting your finger on the trigger and pointing the gun wherever you want no matter the time, place, or status of the weapon. Taking time to check whether the gun is loaded whenever you pick one up will serve to make you hesitate in a personal defense scenario. You fucking safety idiots are going to get people killed all because of this fucking "ND" shaming. Guns are inherently dangerous, you need to accept it.

I hope to whatever deity may be listening that it's a satirical post. But I also wonder how much that even matters anymore.

Apparently I'm doing three things wrong.

The dude literally just made a direct comparison that "if you are not crashing your car every so often you are driving wrong".

I used to joke that for my mom "The road is wherever I point the car".

There's a certain type of Freedom Loving Patriot™ for whom that is lived reality.

This is what makes me think (and hope) this is satire.

For extra giggles, I only tripped over that one because I was wondering why in the hell Lucy Maud Montgomery was trending (yes, it was in response, and not incidentally).

How many folks cheerleading for John Brown & the Civil War know that post-war ex-slaves had a mortality rate @ 200+ times higher than the COVID-19 fatalities this year?

"James Bovard (/bəˈvɑːrd/; born 1956) is an American libertarian author and lecturer ..."

Libertarians are pro-slavery and atheists have gleefully assisted a religious right takeover of the federal government. I wonder what other masks will slip off in the new decade.

It's not like they were ever tied on that tight. It's just people are yanking pretty hard at the strings these days.

"I have nothing to hide" has come to mean "I am open about my evil."
