You know, there are days when the realization that we've just been repeating ourselves for the past 16 years causes me some concern.
And there are days when it's a comfort.
Nothin's gonna change my world.
And what the hell, this is seasonally appropriate:
I can't be the only guy who sings it as "For auld lang motherfucking syne, for auld lang fucking syne," can I? I mean, it fits the meter WAY better than "For au-uld la-ang syne, my friends, for au-uld la-ang syne".

Sounds exactly like something a hero would say!

1UP actually planned to send me to Vegas to cover a dirt bike race for some off-road game once. When I sent back a link to the car I planned to rent Sam realized he was making a colossal mistake and sent Scooter instead.
Anyway, I had to share with that shit with someone. I'm pretty sure that roll already busted the door loose, but damn if it didn't feel cool.
Also, that comic makes me want to put a gun in my mouth.

Something something Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.
Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can
Re: My Life is Awesome and You Can Too
I was looking for something to connect it to the dirt bike race that Sports Illustrated sent Thompson to cover and he wrote the book instead, but sure, I'll keep this rolling:
The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. And I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. Probably at the next gas station.

Actually, for me, the next part after that dialogue is Brewer & Shipley's One toke Over The Line. :nyoro~n:

Uhhh... I haven't tried yet. The tech just stood around and was like "Does this work?" and left as soon as our connection came up. :nyoro~n: I don't have anything to test the wireless with anyway - I think your DS is the only thing we have other than Starr's old laptop which doesn't work very well. I could try with my phone, but only after its been set up.
He was kind of sketchy. Kept saying how nice our computers were (they're fine, but they're old). My paranoia sense was all like "TELL YOUR BURGLAR FRIENDS TO BURGLE SOME OTHER PLACE, BUDDY."
I mean, I think he was probably just a computer rig whore, but dude needs to seriously think about how he sounds. He was even complimenting our rusty broken-down bicycles as nice so either he's trying way too hard to be polite or no one should hire him to do property assessments.
I tried to get in the modem, but I need the username and password. Can you please let me know what they are? Thanks.

Re: My Life is Awesome and You Can Too
No not at all. I mean unless you want to disregard a full 50 percent of the people involved, who also happens to be the kid's mother.

I am a firm believer in the idea that bronto status is brontolineal.
