Obituaries
Re: Obituaries
I've got Twitter embeds blocked, so in case that last one wasn't about Arleen Sorkin, Arleen Sorkin.
Re: Obituaries
Samuel Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber, dead at 49.
For the most part, he can rest in piss. I'm not saying he started the Tea Party movement or anything, but he sure as hell wasn't part of the solution.
But that age is bothering me for some reason. Maybe it's because he was barely ten years older than me, and almost the same age as my older brother. I guess it still feels like it's a young enough age to turn things around? Admit you were wrong and make some sort of amends?
I dunno, it just feels bad all around. I only ever knew his name for bad reasons, and now he's dead. The End, Inc., no moral.

Re: Obituaries
Some people manage to be sustained instead of destroyed by their hate, but they generally have epithets like "the butcher" and not "the plumber".
If you're gonna go all in, you had better go all in.

Not dead yet, but Steve Harwell of Smash Mouth has been admitted to hospice care with "only days to live" due to advanced liver failure.

Re: Obituaries
Obviously this is terrible and the obvious outcome of a terrible situation that shouldn't have been allowed, but here we are. Leaving that aside for a moment, I never knew she was the one who found Harvey Milk's and George Moscone's bodies. Huh.
