Per former DHC writer and editor of seven years, Jay Ediden, Dark Horse Comics is apparently massively anti-trans. In fact, DHC is pretty strongly anti-QUILTBAG of any kind in general, and is run with such an iron fist in this regard such that anyone who speaks out about it is hounded even if they go to other companies.

He's spent the last couple days tweeting, trying rather desperately to see if anyone cares or is listening at all.

...I was searching for a way to make a gallows joke about how Dark Horse can't be anti-LGBT because Scott Allie sexually harasses men, but the point is yeah this is not the first time we've seen evidence that Dark Horse is terrible.

I just listened to an interview with Karen Berger where she talked about how excited she was to be setting up shop at Dark Horse. Wonder what she thinks about all this. For all that Sandman wasn't perfect in its trans representation (and Gaiman himself is the first to admit as much), it was one of the first Big Two comics to even try.

The most fucked up thing about her statement is like... just, no fucking... jesus christ. Ok so, one of the people she mentioned is a sexual predator, the second one has stated, repeatedly, that had he known about trans issues before he accepted the role he wouldn't have and regrets taking it now and the last one stared in a movie made in 2005, also known as back when literally only one state had legal gay marriage.

Her fucking publicist also read that bullshit statement and clearly was like, "Fuck it lets go with this."
