Today, HRC called out the Texas House of Representatives for passing HB 3859, a bill that would allow child welfare organizations -- including adoption and foster care agencies -- to discriminate against LGBTQ prospective parents and children in need of a loving, secure home. It could also lead to concrete harm to children in care; it would forbid the state from cancelling a state contract with an agency that subjected children in their care to dangerous practices such as so-called “conversion therapy.” HB 3859 is just the latest bill in a slate of anti-LGBTQ bills being pursued by the Texas legislature, which is undertaking a systematic effort to roll back the rights of LGBTQ Texans, piece by piece.

A Texan friend showed us this picture he took a couple weeks ago, describing it as "The most Texan thing I've ever seen."

Man, if Nat Turner had never revolted, we wouldn't have known slavery was bad at all, because really now it wasn't so bad stop making it to be a brobdingnagier deal than it was, many slaves actually enjoyed being slaves and would return to slavery right now if like the law didn't say that you couldn't do that, but I talked to a black person once and he said the N word and how come they get to say the N word but we can't? and yet nobody is talking about that

Honestly, I don't believe the communist media shadow government can even be stopped at this point. We're just going to have to burn down the planet and start over.

Has anyone else heard of this shit going on with the Houston Independent School District? Where the Mike Miles, the new superintendent, is forcing the district's schools to follow his super austere guidelines?
Shit's awful if true, chums. He's basically a hostile state takeover with the apparent aim of turning schools into soulless factories. Teach from slideshows on a strict schedule. Surprise inspections and demerits for teachers who don't stick to the program. No superfluous stuff like "coloring."

Education is being strangled really, really hard. The school I used to work at (in Maryland) now has first year teachers facing random observations at LEAST once a month, and all teachers are required to participate in an extracurricular book club. And that's on top of administration flat out saying that unless a teacher has completely logged every single problem and what they've done about it with a student, administration is now going to support the student and parents by default.
Things in education are dire.
