Really? My version of Word has a "Save as .pdf" option.

Oh whoops, I totally misread that.
Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?
Although, TBF, it appears that Manafort also didn't know how to save a Word doc as a PDF.
Meanwhile:
Ars wrote:"Manafort emailed Gates a .pdf version of the real 2016 DMI P&L, which showed a loss of more than $600,000," the indictment claims. "Gates converted that .pdf into a Word document so that it could be edited, which Gates sent back to Manafort. Manafort altered the Word document by adding more than $3.5 million in income."
Then, according to the indictment, Manafort "sent this falsified P&L to Gates and asked that the Word document be converted back to a .pdf, which Gates did and returned to Manafort."
Meanwhile:

The comments are pretty awesome too.
Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?
So Stormy Daniels is apparently a chess master.
Because the contract is anonymized, Trump has plausible deniability... but he loses either way. Either he denies that he's the other party - and she can release whatever she has that was worth $130k in hush money - or he admits it, buries whatever she has, and confirms that he and/or his lawyer committed campaign finance violations and they set up LLCs to conceal crimes.

Assuming someone else in the trump corporation won't take the bullet instead and claim it was -them- who met with Daniels.

He kinda did turn out to be one of the least terrible people in Trump's cabinet.
Which may be more about how low the bar is than any particular praise to Tillerson himself. But he seemed to take his job seriously, the gutting of the State Department on his watch was probably not his fault, and...that's where the bar is.
...hang on, I'm now receiving word that the bar is now "did not advocate torture."

Yeah, I mean, that's for the other branches, like the NSA, CIA, ICE, or your friendly local Police Department to handle. Separation of powers, chums!

WASHINGTON — The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has subpoenaed the Trump Organization to turn over documents, including some related to Russia, according to two people briefed on the matter. The order is the first known instance of the special counsel demanding records directly related to President Trump’s businesses, bringing the investigation closer to the president.

I'm not seeing confirmation yet.
As of half an hour ago SHS is denying it, which reminds me of the joke in So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish to the effect of "The CIA denied it, so of course everyone assumed it must be true."

Well, they're still denying it today, but Trump's response to the whole thing has apparently been to joke "Who's Next?", which is probably a lot funnier to the public than it is to anyone working in the White House.
Also, in incidental news, Don Jr's wife just filed for divorce (THIS at least is confirmed).

Also, now there's a rumour going around that John Kelly's going to be fired.
A friend speculated that Trump himself may be the source of these rumours. I could see that.

Word. I've had head injuries funnier than anything ever said by America's wealthiest hemorrhoid.

Yeah, but that's been a rumor for months.
Again, not to say it's not true. You could throw darts at a list of White House officials and you'd be bound to pick a few winners.
Sessions has fired McCabe, literally two days before he was eligible for retirement. That seems like a wise decision that won't get the DoJ sued and call more attention to what McCabe was telling Mueller.

I think you mean John Barron may be the source of these rumors.
