The Brexit Boondoggle
Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
Wow, the legendarily harsh British weather sure did a number on those vigorous, politically-conscious teens.

I must admit to being personally decrepit enough that it took me a second to see the problem.

Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
So the Tories have been running not even lies but actual out-and-out black-ops, getting busted for this CONSTANTLY, and yet are still leading in all polls.
It think it might be time to just call in a bunch of Normans.

So Britain's just doomed at this point, right? I can't see how a Tory triumph isn't the end of England's relevance on the world stage, with a permanent reduction in living conditions and standards of living.

Well, the English are working at it a bit harder than the rest of us, I'd say.

Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
There is literally no way the Tories get that many seats in Scotland tho.
Even with the media snowjob, something funny's going on with these polls.
Maybe that's just wishful thinking, but like, I know enough Scots folk to at least know how deeply loathed the Tories are up there. Three seats? Maybe. Ten? That don't wash.

So today's the day Britain dies (probably)?
Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
Tomorrow.
Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
Will be trying to help remove Boris & co obviously, but am in a district that used to be an equal Con / Lib Dem fight until 2017, where it became a Con safe seat with Labour protest. We're in the tactical database under "It's complicated".

That sounded like it was gonna be the best Anarchy in the UK remix.
Re: The Brexit Boondoggle
Exit polls forecasting an 86-seat majority for the Tories. That's not a final tally, but...it's pretty hard to see a scenario where the final tally isn't a Tory majority.

Worst result for Labour since 1924.
I wonder if anyone could ever have foreseen that this would be how the sun finally sets.
