When the Hell is COVID finally gonna kill one of the Top Fuckers on this planet? I mean shouldn't it have offed at least one of them by now? Like, statistically. It's not like we've got a shortage. It should have picked off a couple by now.

I know it might feel like that, but given infection rates, mortality rates, and the fact that they always get the best possible care, the chance of them dying is very very low.

The chance of them having permanent heart damage however, is apparently a coin flip.

Yeah, like Friday said.

Boris Johnson was probably the closest to his own personal, one-man Brexit. He spent like a week maybe two in intensive care.

And here's the thing - the hospital he was in? It was one of the four hospitals in the UK that can keep a person with zero lung capacity alive if it did come to that.

This is one way Covid is extra shitty. We can't even say it's the great equalizer that takes kings and paupers alike. It's Famine that's supposed to take the grain and leave the wine, not Pestilence.

Pretty much any disease that can be prevented, will take a vastly disproportionate toll on the poor. Most countries know this

Speaking of national rulers with Covid, Lukashenko (Belarus; insisted vodka kills Covid) tested positive.

We can always live in hope that one of these rotten fucks will die. He'd be a pretty good one to see the back of.

...I've been informed that Dr. Robert Hamilton- the guy whose "crying baby hold" video I was linked to several times when my son was born- is something of a COVID truther pushing to get everyone in schools, virus-be-damned.

If this year had a face, I would've punched it by now.

A story in six (seven) tweets:

They deleted this one. It referenced the Mt. Rushmore rally on July 4th.

Those dates are telling a different story than the one I keep hearing.

He didn't get corona at the trump rally. He was told he had corona, posted that people are fed up with masks, attended the rally, and was hospitalized. In that order.

So he didn't just get it from being stupid, he definitely spread it by being stupid.

I didn't include (mainly because I was feeling fairly lazy and bad for posting this in general) his tweet with the selfie he took of everyone around him at the rally, with not a mask in sight.

The Tulsa rally was June 20th, 9 days before he tested positive. Unsure why the 'deleted tweet' has a date of July 1st on it, unless it refers to a subsequent rally than the one he attended.

EDIT: The post mentions Mt. Rushmore, it was indeed a different one.

The deleted tweet had to do with the Mt. Rushmore rally, but I'll make that clear.

The US had a comprehensive response to the pandemic, but Jared Kushner had it scrapped...

Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.

Trump and his ilk are literally willing to kill to get re-elected. That's what this came down to.
