Anyway, apparently my weapon has chosen itself.



If I can dual-wield, maybe a gun or better yet bombs I can set and run away (like the old high explosives) of some kind as backup... purely for bigger non-stabbable baddies, of course.

Actually too bad there's no snoiper rifle... that would be faaaarrrrrr more appropriate, considering both STAB STAB STAB above and my penchant for playing sneaky rogues in RPGs. I mean, keep me stabbing everything as the preferred primary option! Yes! But I'm sure at some point we'll be running into unstabbable shit.

Pretty sure that you gain strength and can carry more as you level up, so you should be able to carry a gun now. Reason you got stuck with a medpack and a knife at all was because you couldn't carry anything bigger.

I'll try to get a gun and a bomb in ya next.

Strength is 1:1 for carry weight. I had a lot of recruits work their way from only having grenades to an actual gun.

Over in manufacturing, the junkrats pick through a pile of garbage for useful materials like metal, wire, plasteel, hellerium (which powers everything), and chemicals. If we want to make zepplins for scouting, body armor, ships, or anything cool like that, we need that stuff in bulk.

Research also gets back to me on what the "Confederate Eagle" is, which turns out to be a gun! A desert eagle. I think we actually own one from that mission with the nazis, so, I give it Mongrel.

We're making a killin' after showing those jackboots what's what. Too bad maintenance costs are pretty nuts, so we don't see a lot of that cabbage.

The actual spending money comes from fencing off your plunder, I'm starting to realize.

I have no idea what a fusion torch is, but I want one. Definitely getting at least one cattle prod, also, to take live prisoners.

I fence some of the stuff we've taken out of the scrap pile to finance further sifting through scrap. Doesn't really hit me how dumb this is till well after I do it.

Okay, we're looking good on galpower after a month of recovery.

Frocto and Defenestration are back in action, as are Stush and Geo.

New recruits Friday, Kazz, Sharkey, Esperath, Thad, and Ziiro join the cause.

Thad, clad in his smarty-pants brainer coat, grabs a spear gun, a grenade, and a medical satchel.

Since Ziiro's accuracy decidedly sucks, he decides to go bag, loading up that RPG we kept getting blasted with last mission.

Esperath's poison dagger isn't done yet, so, the usual for him. Added a bandage though.

As of last mission, Grath is now officially strong enough to carry a cutlass!

We expect great things.

Smiler realizes his assault shotgun is still out of barrels, and has to go low-tech with a sawed off and a belt of shells.

No idea if this will work or not.

Defenestration's strength is still really fucking low (see the "weight" value in the top-right), so he grabs our only laser pistol, maxing out his carrying capacity.

Baby steps. Just gotta get a kill or two.

Friday takes an X-Bow the gals in the lab made up for her. Had amazing success with Mazian on that, so, having another couldn't hurt.

Huge open area, almost zero cover, three guys ready to gun us down.

Kazz, Mongrel, Smiler, Defenestration, and Grath huddle like rats under a tiny hill, hoping to survive the turn.

Down by the landing gear, Ziiro fires off an RPG round, misses, but does some okay damage to a few of the surrounding enemies. He's immediately not crazy about this thing.

On the ship, Geo, Sharkey, Friday, and Thad move up into the crow's nest to try and pick off the guys outside.
