Best FF Villain
I included those who are the main antagonists, not the final space flea who descends at the last minute.
Some of these games I haven't played and am going by what the wiki says. You are free to yell at me to make me change shit to ensure full scientific accuracy.
Vote for up to 3.
(I'm not using the "hottest" moniker in the title anymore because it was really confusing for some people who don't know how to vote in silly polls.)

Re: Best FF Villain
Emperor Palamecia all but invited the rebels into his throne room so they could kill him. Just according to keikaku, he then splits his soul in half, conquers heaven and hell with each half, and returns to the land of the living to finish his military campaign. +500 badass points.
Kefka: Garland, Palamecia, and Xande don't have much screen time to develop a personality. Exdeath is transparently thin. Golbez appears transparently thin until the tweest at the end of the game. But from the very first "Edgar, you pinhead!" you know Kefka's something special. Plus he managed to destroy the world while the party was standing right there. +500 shit just got real points.
Honorable mentions: Ultimecia, the series' premiere time mage. Kuja, who proves his magical prowess by hiding his tail in a thong somehow. Xande, who lacks the dramatic understanding to understand the gift he was given.

Oh god, I gotta fix some of these poll colors. I'll try to do that tomorrow.
Voted for Sin, even though I never got past Blitzball, because I remember reading up on his backstory and thinking it was really cool.
Kefka also, of course, since I adore villains you just flat-out love thier jobs.

Re: Best FF Villain
Even though I know it's probably not objectively true I don't feel like I can put any of these other options on the same level as Kefka.
We might as well go with the "Kefka/Someone Other than Kefka" options here, by the looks of things.

Re: Best FF Villain
Garland because of style.
Golbez because of plot.
Kuja because of fanart.

Re: Best FF Villain
I feel like this should definitely be "hottest FF villain," because I would love to compare some batshit ff concept art against like a floating sphere of human folly and a clown.
Re: Best FF Villain
It has come to the point where I care about less than half of the "core" final fantasy series.
Ffff.
Golbez, because I won that Calbrena fight while Cecil was KO'd and scripting problems ensued.

Voted for Sephiroth solely because I can't accept a result in which Ultimecia is considered the better villain.

I wanted to vote Ultimecia simply because she's the series' best time mage, and time mages get so little love overall.
But then I remembered she only got anywhere close to victory because every hero in the game is an idiot.
(It's telling that I could write essays on Final Fantasy villains but can't be arsed to vote in the hero poll at all.)

Re: Best FF Villain
Kuja doesn't get enough love. He's like the best qualities of all the previous villains rolled into one androgynous space hobbit. He has the theatrical flair of Kefka, the tragic motivation of Sephiroth, the sex appeal of Ultimecia, he is associated with a sinister tree like Exdeath, and he can turn super-saiyan and blow up planets like Vegeta. Plus his music is really cool.
