I really like Rings of Power, janky and bug-ridden as it is (Void has found your party!), but I remembered the Fluffy Tree of Gomez and I thought "yeah I can't list this one here in good conscience".

Yeah, I stand by Warsong but the others may be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Buck Rogers holds up better than the SSI Gold Box stuff, though. "You feel itchy."

Last year I actually gave some thought to making a Rings of Power LP, because as broken as it is there's a lot of ambition and interesting ideas in there. This is one of my test videos from the very beginning.

On one hand, at any time you can be ambushed by a party of mid-to-high-level bandit-wizards and demon necromancer priests who will kill you before you get a move. If they happen to be riding a firebreathing t-rex, you can count yourself fortunate; the t-rex moves faster than you but you can use terrain to your advantage to stay away; if the enemy party is on foot, it doesn't even appear on the map and you can't maneuver to avoid it.

On the other hand, this is a game in which squads of chain-smoking bleached-pompadour bandit-wizards and demon necromancer priests ride around willy-nilly on god-damned firebreathing dinosaurs.

I keep forgetting this thread is here. What even hasn't been listed? Uhhh...

The Serious List
Alien Storm
Chiki Chiki Boys (yes this is a real game that came out in the West and is not a gay porn comic, although the original Japanese version apparently had a focus on collecting scantily-clad women)
Comix Zone
The Humans
Jizz Wars
Pirates! Gold (better than the DOS and probably any other version)
Splatterhouse
***World of Illusion***

Brentai's Stupid Affection List
The Adventures of Batman and Robin
Decap Attack, you know you want to, you know you want to
Doom Troopers: The Mutant Chronicles
El Viento
Exile
General Chaos
Hard Drivin'
Sub-Terrania
Syd of Valis
Virtua Racing
Ys III (best version of Ys III proper there is, for what that's worth)

I'm not going to nominate Cool Spot but I will nominate just its bonus stage BGM by itself:

incidentally if we do decide to allow Sega CD (because I mean it's not like we're going to run a separate Sega CD poll some day) there are actually some real games like for example:

Keio Flying Squadron
Lords of Thunder

Sonic the Hedgehog CD
Popful Mail (hi friday)

OK there are two polls now. I think I'll pick 16 from each for the TRUE MATCHES.

This actually looks pretty fun

Also oh my good fucking lord, the Genesis sound chip:

<Eazi-F> everything about the genesis was fucking filthy
<Eazi-F> the SNES was a nice date with wine and filet and then a fun tumble under candlelight
<Eazi-F> the genesis was fucking in the nightclub ladies' room

The only thing I ever knew about Rings of Power was that there's a nude code for the splash screen. Looks like that's about the only noteworthy thing about it, really.

I feel like a lot more games should've had titty codes buried somewhere.

Is it so wrong to want to see Magneto's rack
