I'll toss in Overworld, Mothership, and Billy at some point.

Except for Cheetahmen, all the losers were just one vote behind making the cut. Ninja Gaiden leads the pack.
Next up:71. Little Nemo the Dream Master - Boss Battle35. Super Mario Bros 1. - Stage 1-167. Kirby's Adventure - Ice Cream Island28. Batman - Streets of Desolation (Stage 1)6. The Legend of Zelda - Ganon's Dungeon18. Ninja Gaiden - The Masked Devil5. Megaman 2 - Wily's Fortress53. Castlevania - Wicked Child
Ooof. Some tough choices.
Nemo is a game where some like the music and some don't - I'm in the "don't" camp but it certainly has been popular enough to make a lot of other lists.
Super Mario is of course, iconic, and catchy as shit, but it's also very simple. I don't know if it belongs on this poll, (I didn't add it) so you'll have to decide if this tune can stand with the big boys or not.
Kirby's Adventure isn't my style of music (I generally don't like the more upbeat stuff) but I have to recognize that the composition is incredible.
Batman is more my style. Sunsoft's heavy industrial games and music never felt better than stage 1 of Batman for NES.
Ganon's Dungeon is a personal favorite of mine. Like DQ3's final boss theme, it informs you that Ganon is now through fucking around with you as soon as you step foot into that final castle. I don't expect it to make it out of round 1, though. I guess you guys have the chance to prove me wrong!
The Masked Devil is another favorite of mine, but unlike Zelda I think it might have a shot of making it out of here. Love the uneasy dread it invokes.
Wily's Fortress and Wicked Child need no introduction. Anyone who cares about chiptunes at all has heard these two tracks. Incredible, both.
