In case y'all were under the misapprehension that everybody was being poky about this, I turned in mine within 24 hours of beatbandito's last post.

That was up to Newbie to admit, some people wear their gold stars in secret.

But it bears noting that that is still the only entry I've received as of Thursday.

This is so easy, you guys. Just draw a picture. Then copy it and add dialog that creates an expectation in the reader's mind. Then draw something that subverts that expectation in a funny way, and then do the same thing a second time.

It doesn't have to be good; it just has to be fast.

Well, I already used up my one "meta" gag strip last time...

...this is one of the many reasons why I never did an ongoing webcomic.

(actually, I do think of ideas, but they're always paced to five beats, not four).

Okay I fucking give up. I just keep thinking of five panel ideas.

I'm just gonna make the last "panel" be a split/double panel that will be treated as one for the sake of the game (one of my more recent ideas had an ending where this should still work just fine as far as other people being able to riff on it - in fact, it might be better in this regard than either panel would have separately).

Well, I can at least say I'm working on mine. I got way too carried away and ended up putting WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY more effort into these drawings then I had to.

Progress report:
- Panels drawn - 3/4
- Panels coloured - 0/4
- Dialogue - Written, but balloons not placed yet

Uh, I'm gonna try to keep the colour to simple flat fills and maybe one highlight so that it'll be way faster than the drawing. Try. I suck at colour anyway, so...

Well, even if I don't colour it, I gotta grayscale shade it

This reminds me of a tabletop gaming group where one player has written their character's backstory, detailed every item they're likely to have access to, established a list of friends and other contacts, noted their probable relationships and opinions of the other completed characters at the table, and is starting on a preliminary sketch of their character's "pre-campaign" portrait, and then I roll up with Hurk the Orc, whose entire characterization is that he likes hitting things with a hammer.

In my experience what matters in a DnD campaign is showing up.

You can't guilt-trip me unless I'm the last holdout. >:3

(Today is actually very busy, but if I just do grayscale then I can probably hand it in tonight. The drawings are almost all done).

If someone else wants to join in, I can turn my comic into a proper five panel comic with basically zero effort. Hell, I could make it six panels easily enough too.

I suspect others would find it easy enough to add an extra set-up panel or post-script if there's no immediately obvious place to pad their strip out.

I am still playing. I'm just saying, hey did someone else ask to join? 'Cause that's perfectly fine with me.

All the drawing is done. I just need to add some quick flat grayscale shading and slap the dialogue balloons in, so let me know if we're changing this up by adding more people?

EDIT: Anyway, I'm done half the greyscale shading. Bit longer than I thought, 'cause once again I'm overdoing it (I CAN'T HELP IT), but not by much. I could power through and finish it tonight, but I want to know if we're getting any new players?
