Today I watched CJ the X talk about Bo Burnham for two and a half hours, and I could feel my brain chemistry change as a significant portion of my additional depressions from 2016 and onward evaporated.

Some people like philosophytube too, I guess, but I don't find her as entertaining as the others.

I did some research and Sh0e seems to have reformed somewhat -- switching from a trump voter in 2016 to a biden voter in 2020, and now being supposedly cool with the trans, and even non-binary identities... but is Vaush adjacent in a way that makes me hesitant to check out her stuff.

She is a video essayist though! And contrapoints is, too.

I've been a fan of (mostly) video game essayist Jacob Geller for a while, but his most recent video on Pinocchio-based media is just putting a huge smile on my face!

Squirrel Tactics doesn't always have good, or correct opinions in his commentary. But it is an excellent source of King of the Hill lore.

münecat does long videos about generally important things more on-point with the original topic. But I don't trust her as much now, her hair is too good.

Georg Rockall-Schmidt makes good little rant videos about culture and media. I haven't ventured into their podcasts or other longform essay stuff.
