Upcoming/current movie stuff? I dunno. I needed a place to link this.

More Batman vs. Superman casting announced! Alfred is Lex Luthor, Lex Luthor is Jesse Eisenberg.

Mark Zuckerberg as Lex Luthor is actually a really good idea.

Still don't intend to see it in the theater. Fuck Man of Steel.

(I don't otherwise care about this in any way.)

I'm going to repeat the joke that apparently the Bryan Cranston as Luthor rumor got started when someone thought they said Heisenberg.

Holy fuck, The Lego Movie.

Holy fuck, The Lego Movie.

Just keep pretending I typed that for like a thousand more times.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller have officially replaced Neveldine and Taylor as my "must see everything by them" duo. Especially since they haven't made Jonah Hex yet.

I keep hearing exactly that, but I'm afraid it's going to be generally over-loud (relative to other movies, which I generally estimate as over-loud). Is old man Classic gonna have to bring his earplugs to enjoy this one?

All movies have godawful fucking sound mixing since like the mid 90s at least, every single one, because remote control volume button manufacturers didn't want to go out of business and Big Volume Button cut some shady-ass back room deals

there are only a couple of parts that i remember REALLY blasting shit out though like batman's heavy metal song

It also bears mentioning just how unbelievably fucking gorgeous it is. They managed to make a CGI movie look like it was stop motion animated and still have more spectacle than basically any animated movie I can think of as lately.

fuck i kind of want to go see it again tomorrow

Could somebody explain the good parts to me? Like, spoiler tag and give me exact things about this movie that are good.
I just got back and, yes it was very pretty. But everything else about the movie was average or slightly below at best? I liked That Bit at the End but realistically, it wasn't so much good and wonderful as much as it was just a nice change of pace from the typical formulaic rest of the movie.

Which is ironic, given the "message" of the movie.
