Webcomics and
Since my great webcomic purge, I've only followed maybe five webcomics. I've recently decided to rebuild my comic chore list and have been greedily gobbling up nice, odd webcomics again.
Today my friend pointed me to Monster Pulse and I figured I'd share it here. Bunch of kids get attacked by ghosts and organs rip themselves out of their bodies and become bizarre monsters who hide from a sinister, unknowable organization.
It focuses more on the kids' relationship to each other than anything else, which is probably the best way to handle such a thing.
I don't know. It's charming and has an interesting idea behind it.

Re: Webcomics and
Webcomics I bother to keep up with:
Strong Female Protagonist
Ava's Demon has super good art, and a cute story. With a new update schedule hopefully we'll start seeing more of the latter.
Prequel is totally a normal, regularly updating comic.
The Dailies
For Lack of a Better Comic
Poorly Drawn Lines
Owlturd
DubbleBaby may only update once a year, but it does it with fucking pizzazz

Re: Webcomics and
Apart from Oglaf, all my favourite webcomics are ones that never update anymore (though in some cases that was because they actually came to a predetermined and proper ending). :/

Re: Webcomics and
Yeah, I think the only webcomics I follow with any regularity are Wonderella and Oglaf anymore.
Most of the others have been abandoned so the author could go, like, make money instead of delivering content to me for free.
Those bastards.

Re: Webcomics and
Is this comparative indies only or are well known things like SMBC and XKCD still allowed here?

Or, in the case of many that I follow(ed), crushing depression, creator disinterest, and other personal problems.
Re: Webcomics and
I'm still following Spinnerette in the hopes that Chochi will return.
Re: Webcomics and
GUNSHOW
I ALSO REALLY LIKE DR MCNINJA. IT SORT OF WAS BALLS FOR AWHILE, BUT THEN THE KING RADICAL ARC ENDED AND IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY COOL WHEN READ BINGE STYLE.

I can't shake the feeling that Erfworld would be really good if it could stay on-topic.
Re: Webcomics and
I knew I was going to follow The Last Halloween when these panels popped up...
...but I'd probably still keep up even if only because it very often looks like...
...or...
ALSO I gotta mention Broodhollow again. But if you're gonna give it a shot, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning.

Re: Webcomics and
At least Power Nap has (shockingly!) resumed regular updates.
Re: Webcomics and
The ones I read that are both amazingly good and update regularly are scarygoround.com (Bad Machinery/Giant Days/Bobbins) and kiwisbybeat.com (Modern Fried Snake/A Monster Story/etc.) Yes, once a month is regular.

Re: Webcomics and
I'd like to take a moment to point out that the Lust demon in Ava's Demon is named Tuls. Sure, it's an anagram of Lust, but it's also Slut backwards.
For the White Witch!
Re: Webcomics and
Holy cow, how could any one of you guys forget Gigi's Cucumber Quest?
(from the Prologue)
It's absolutely gorgeous in addition to being pretty funny:
(From the current chapter (That guy in green is a villain, by the way))
Also, Gigi's been doing a lot of neat things with color in the current chapter, so check it out if you like to think about art in comics a lot.

This comic is pretty interesting, but I have a feeling that as far as day-to-day reading it's proooobably entirely unreadable. It's a comic for binging, not getting a new panel every day.

Re: Webcomics and
well then the good news is that it gets updated in batches, rather than a panel at a time.

Re: Webcomics and
Paranatural is excellent. It's still warming up a bit, but it's got a bit of X-Men, a bit of Earthbound, and a whole lot of ghosts.
I read too many webcomics, so I'll just post one when I feel like it.

Remember John Campbell? the dude that sabotaged his own kickstarter by writing posts so convoluted nobody was sure if he was honest, sarcastic or just incoherent?
Now he's unleashing his magic wand onto other webcomic artists.

Re: Webcomics and
I noticed he's been making a lot of posts about drugs lately.
Anyway, if you're not reading Bouletcorp, you're missing out on one of the finest cartoonists working.
Also, here's a video of one of his drawings. Yes, he is inking freehand.

I remember that controversy earlier when he said he faked being depressed. I was pretty upset about it. I, um, I have no idea what he's on about this time, though. Is he really into social justice now, or is he just trolling webcomics guys?
