Read Friday's post in the Chat Dump/Quotes thread. Apparently tangerining Romo is the new Rickroll around here.

(For a second I was thinking "the only anime I know of with the leaning tower of Pisa in it is Marie & Gali".)

the tangerine is clickable
it's also a cross-reference to a very old board meme where kazz would spam huge eiffel tower images, can't even find the original
it's also a reference to my sig and the general japanese proclivity to pronounce "pizza" as "pisa"

PS: sei's old "shagged by a rare parrot" av and sig are so good
PPS: friday is a user of sosuns

Oh huh, I don't even remember that scene. Maybe it's time to watch NNB again.

it's in s2e03, the second season is titled "Non Non Biyori Repeat" and may be under a different listing depending on where you watch your anime. clunchy has both seasons lumped together.

Does it have them in chronological order? That might be interesting to do for a rewatch.

no, I think you'd have to look up a list. don't know if this one is authoritative but it's what I found quickly.

Just caught up on the last 5 chapters of Berserk, and they literally have a scene of Guts asking if they can get back to the plot, and supporting characters responding with "can't do the plot, we're too busy with your growing pile of shitty comic relief sidekicks!"

It would make me legitimately mad if it didn't feel like Miura was Guts talking to editors.

Edit: I blame Gantz for making me spell Guts with a Z twice.

This happened two years back at Magfest too - the CPAC or whatever was being held immediately after Magfest, so a lot of furries and godless perverts were still staying at the hotel while the conservative convention got going.

Another thing I noticed? The Yik Yak at the convention center immediately became flavor-blasted with requests for man-on-man hookups.

Watched the new Blame movie on Netflix. Loved it. Definitely was not expecting much after the animation style of Knights of Sidonia, but hot damn did this one look good. Got the feel of the manga down very nicely.

Also been marathoning the new Voltron, which is way more charming than I was expecting. Really like basically everyone, particularly Rhys Darby, who absolutely needs to get more voicework.

Alright, let's tell the Brontos about how I finally got around to watching Blame! movie on Netfli-

ffffffffffffrick, late to the party again as usual.

I think I'm a bit too jazzed at the moment to go on about the lower points. It's awesome to actually see the gravitational beam emitter in color and sound and everything, even if it's a lot... quieter than I had in my head. And Cibo's awesome as ever; I like how they took a lot of license in her design this time around. And there's an article somewhere saying there's a second installment on the way and I'm suddenly breathing heavily into a paper bag.

I remember something like that happening at the Anaheim convention center a couple times. I forget what exactly, but I think they had some big Samoan American summit setting up as BlizzCon was winding down. Cue the foam mat warlocks and nice people in suits both wondering what the hell was going on.

You could say that it starts out very small and continues to expand rapidly

Like a Spiral.

Also did you watch the movies? Childhood's End & The Lights In The Sky Are Stars? Because while they retell the series, they decide the series wasn't crazy enough and jack it up a few notches.

Kamina lives. For a few seconds.

That's a dick move in what already feels like a year of dick moves.

I'm not even sure what they hoped to accomplish. "Oh, it's those noodles with the fake Kiki ad. I'm not only not buying those, but I'm going to tell everyone I know not to buy those."
