TimeOut interviews the Pythons, and some prominent fans, about the coming reunion shows.
They sure say a lot of pretty terrible things about each other. I always wonder if that stuff's really as mean-spirited as it sounds or if it's just good friends talking the kind of shit that only good friends can get away with talking about one another. Maybe it's both. (And you know, it IS pretty funny. Idle saying Gilliam equates artistic success with financial failure is mean as hell, but it's funny.)
Most of them are claiming this is really, for real, the final farewell. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't (as Gilliam points out, that's what they said last time -- but then again that was over 30 years ago and in a way it actually was, as it was the last time all 6 of them were still alive). Sounds like the last show is being simulcast to theaters so maybe I'll try and get to one.
