That Guy Who Was In That Thing

Because I completely forgot Steve Buscemi was on Pete and Pete.

X-Files is just full of "Oh wow, it's that guy!" moments. I remembered the one where Ryan Reynolds gets killed in the cold open, but I did not remember that one of the girls who killed him went on to play Laurie on That '70s Show. Coincidentally, the following episode features Kurtwood Smith.

Koopa's girlfriend in the Super Mario Bros plays Mrs. Dursley in the Harry Potter movies.

Also, Jack Black playing the hapless best friend of Giovanni Ribisi with Thor powers.

Now that's an awkward role to get typecast in.

Listen, she made a lot of money playing an Amish Woman who Harrison Ford seduces and corrupts over the years, and in my opinion she brought something new to each role. The variety of passionate, smoldering bonnets, for one.

More X-Files:

Teenage girl abducted by creepy photographer: Jewel Staite, later Kaylee on Firefly.

Young Chinese woman with leukemia: Lucy Alexis Liu, who would go on to drop the "Alexis" from her screen credit.

(Same episode as Lucy Liu: Chinese gangster: James Hong. But that's like saying "Same episode as Lucy Liu: water: wet." I'd be more surprised to see a Chinese gangster NOT played by James Hong.)

I finally remembered where I'd first seen Jon Favreau! He played a millionaire who dated Monica on Friends.
