Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS

Postby Mothra » Tue Dec 15, 2020 10:29 am

Hit me with the best intro/opening and ending/credits sequences you've got.

Can be TV shows, cartoons, anime, video games, whatever, just has to BLAST FAT ROPE (intros/eds that are just generally pleasing or fun are also acceptable)

(The Japanese one is also good)

Wow, that's funny, I was actually considering running an OP Tourney/Poll

I was gonna be mad that you preempted me but then I saw you posted the MIB OP and now I'm stuck watching it over and over

Anyway here are some obvious ones

This song does something to my brain

I only recently discovered this show and OP thanks to Outer Heaven and my internet friends and they are both top top top quality

Thad bait

Even more Thad bait (also holy fuck I think this OP has more frames in it than any given random episode)

I'm a weeb too and I love the J OPs but the American one also fucking slaps just as hard come on

I'm actually not as big a fan of this one as most (it's fine) but if we're posting obvious ones, I mean

I actually dislike this show because I hate the fucking pacing but the OP is god-tier

I mean, if I'm still quoting it to this day it must have done something right

again, still quoting to this day, I literally cannot reply to "what do you wanna do tonight" with anything other than this

This might actually be the best Video Game OP

but I'm gayer for this (Westerns also do something to my brain)

I was expecting this to be a thread for NYT articles about how everyone who isn't the author should be prepared to die for the author's ideals.

all of these

It's good, but is it Toriyama good?

Here's some more intros that slap

Sure, the Batman TAS intro is awesome, but I would be remiss if I didn't remind folks about Batman Beyond.

Many of us are still livin' in the nineties

A goddamn good song, but what a horny intro.

For some reason I feel guilty about enjoying this one.

Thor Ragnarok is so an anime

I like the original Cutey Honey intro all right, but it doesn't have the energy of the remake.

even without the art the Chrono Cross OP is better than Trigger, and all other VG openings, yes.

since Mothra opened with like ten videos I am considering that a go ahead to also do a stream of ten single-video posts to even it out, as I think of stuff.

I know I'm the only B5 stan this side of Za Ha Dum but I fucking love the last half of the S3 intro, and the first half of the S4 intro:

There's a second intro movie after the first one, but unfortunately the only version I can find with a quick search is this hideous stretched version.

Also, the Mega Man intro is pretty good; shame about the rest of the show.
