Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS
Re: Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS
Thad the fact that you continue to not watch Rise, the actual only good TMNT thing in god knows how long, continues to drive me insane.
Re: Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS
I mean I thought it was clear I was finishing up the last one first.
Also, the gap between the end of TMNT '12 and the beginning of Rise was, like, eight months. C'mon now, let's dispense with the "God knows how long"; I know they spaced the 2012 series out so that each season started like three weeks after the previous one ended, but you can't just expect that. I mean Jesus, the median time between seasons of The Venture Bros is 37 years.

(Other Turtles things from the past few years that I hear are at least pretty-okay include the Last Ronin comic and Shredder's Revenge. I can't personally vouch for either of those as yet but if critical consensus is to be believed you're significantly understating the number of good Turtles things in recent memory.)
(I think we should probably also count The Cowabunga Collection. The included games are old but the package is new and includes a bunch of previously-unpublished material and it's fantastic.)

Go watch Spy X Family.
Re: Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS
Did the 2nd season start? I'll get right on that

Too lazy to see if anyone else posted the OP to Paripi Koumei. It's catchy:
And lest Tenjou Tenge's silliness be lost to time, have its OP too:
I went through 6 pages hitting F3 to see if "maid" showed up, in case anyone missed the Maid Dragon S OP, which would get a special mention for being upbeat:
And although not an OP, this will likely be Anne Happy's most well-known song:

Not being into the BB story, I have yet to check out BCS (I mean, I barely ever watch *any* TV shows regardless), I hadn't heard the BCS theme yet. Apparently they never play more than the first 15 seconds or so of this over the entire run of the series? That's insane. That's downright criminal!
Major Small Faces vibe with this tune; the band here has that particular flavour of British Invasion rock completely locked down tight. WTF that sound has to do with an extremely American lawyer show, I got no idea, but damn!

Rubber-jaw Daedalus' will always be my Cobra Commander.

I mean, there's a reason I use a line from the lyrics in my FFXIV search comment

Getting Johnny Nash to sing that theme was a coup even higher than Mel Brooks getting Frankie Laine to do the theme for Blazing Saddles.
Re: Op/Ed Sequences that BLAST ASS
The ending for "I'm the villainess, so I'm taming the final boss" didn't have to go this hard, but it chose to do so anyway
How fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.

Kylie showed me Mob Psycho 100, which has stunning animation. The first season was pretty good, but they really came into their own in season 2. Not just, in the OP, either, mind you. It's a delicious soup of kinetic and impressionistic animation styles.
Speaking of animes with ingenious animation, Bocchi the Rock. Don't let the OP deceive you, either. The animators were basically allowed to run wild with animation techniques throughout the show to emphasize the protagonist's imagination, including CG, stop-motion, and zoetrope(!).

speaking more specifically of the story: Mob Psycho 100 S02E01 is the most perfect endcap for season 1 character development and establishing of the new norm I think I've ever seen from any show.

From the ED of Oshi no Ko ep1 / OP of ep2.

Pee-Wee's Playhouse is so over-the-top that its opening titles sequence has its own opening titles sequence.
