Whatever the Watchmen movie's faults, this bit's good.

Yeah, that bit is incredible. If the whole movie had managed that sort of sentiment, it could have really been something.

Hell, we could do a few pages of just Saul Bass.

Huh. I remember the version I saw before had a scene of Silhouette and her partner as victims of a hate crime, and another scene of young Laurie overhearing her parents argue as the TV shows footage of Thích Quảng Đức burning.

Some pretty unfortunate racist imagery in this one, but man, that horn section.

Anna And The Apocalypse Ending Credits (US & UK Cut) (embedding disabled)

Alternately: the festival cut; same animation, different song, appears at the beginning of the movie instead of the end.

And to all a good night.

My wife would stab me with scissors if I didn't mention these

And it would be remiss of me to not mention Satsuki's theme music

I really dislike the Vinland Saga OP, and the entire anime adaptation from I've seen, because of how dramatically out of tune they are with the actual themes and plot of the story in the manga. But so many people keep saying it's good I guess it's good with no context.

on the other hand I've seen like 4 episodes of Bleach and am down with this with no context needed

A lot of the early OPs of Bleach are pretty rad.

Early Bleach in general is pretty rad. Well, compared to later Bleach. It's still garbage, but they hadn't yet decided to milk it for all it was worth by drawing everything out eternally. I mean, moreso. Early Bleach is still a Shonen.

Not one of the better '90s Marvel toons, but I always liked the theme song.
