Hot game deals
Re: Hot game deals
Steam's got deals on Stray, Outer Worlds, and the Tales series. I've got too much shit to play already so I don't know that I'll get anything, but I at least plan on playing Stray at some point.
Re: Hot game deals
There's a sale on Switch games at both Nintendo and Humble. It's still Nintendo, so 30% off means ARMS still costs $42 despite having been released in 2017, but it could be worse and usually is.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is marked down to $15, which is a good deal, but eh, Ubisoft.
Spiritfarer is marked down to $10. It's supposed to be good, right?
There are some good deals on various other indies, but they're the kind of deals you see on PC all the time. Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is currently $10 on Switch and $5 on Steam. Aegis Defenders, Freedom Planet, Children of Morta, and Moonlighter are all marked down pretty low, for those who want them and don't have them.

Vampire Survivors has left Early Access and is currently 20% off (ie $4 instead of the usual $5).
Also, in my search for quick and simple games to play for a few minutes at a time on a Deck, I notice that Tetris Effect: Connected is currently half-off ($20 instead of $40). I already own the PS4 version, and Lord knows there are plenty of Tetris games available for free on PC, but I'm tempted.

I also see Slime Rancher is marked down to $5. Is it worth checking out now that 2 is out, or is this one of those things where the sequel kinda supplants the original?
Re: Hot game deals
Steam has a Halloween sale on. Cult of the Lamb is $5 off, Hollow Knight is half-price, you got your Deaths Stranding and various Residents Evil and so on.
Might have to pull the trigger on Cult of the Lamb. I like Death Stranding but I'm not sure I'm seeing anything in the Director's Cut that's worth the upgrade from the base version, even for just $6.

The original Witcher is free at GOG again. Requires jumping through some hoops including signing up for the newsletter and adding the free-to-play Gwent game to your library.
Or you can just buy it at the sale price of $1.49, which honestly may be a better deal.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection free on GOG with newsletter signup.
Re: Hot game deals
Black Friday sales starting to pop up -- Best Buy, Target, the consoles' online stores, and Humble, at a quick glance. I'm not seeing a big seasonal Steam sale just yet, but I figure it won't be long.
Re: Hot game deals
Nope; Steam sale's on now too.

Re: Hot game deals
River City Girls free with Switch Online through December 12. Not free to keep; you can only play it free through the 12th. But it's currently half-price in the shop if you *do* want to keep it.
Re: Hot game deals
Fanatical's got some good bundles and sales on. I'm tempted to pay $7 for Shenmue 3, though I haven't actually started Shenmue 2 yet. And I also have three unplayed Yakuza games, which are not Shenmue but are Shenmue-adjacent.

Ghost of a Tale free on GOG, newsletter signup required.
Re: Hot game deals
Green Man Gaming has a holiday sale on.
Re: Hot game deals
Steam sale's on. Looks extremely similar to the one a month ago. So you can take that as either a sign that you should buy whatever stuff you wish you'd gotten last month, or that there's gonna be another one of these in another month and there's no hurry.
Re: Hot game deals
I don't think Elden Ring was on sale last time. It's 30% off now.

Just based on my wishlist the winter sale does have more titles, and several at larger percentages than November. But there are always some that use the same discount on every sale.

Re: Hot game deals
Only one I saw was VC 4, but as always it still has Denuvo.
Should just give up and pirate the goddamn thing. Except I don't even feel like playing it at the moment, lol.
