Apparently for this coming Steam sale, things will have the same price throughout the sale (instead of daily specials). I like this change.

And the Steam sale is on.

Trails in the Sky is down to $10 again, and Axiom Verge is $14.

On the one hand, I've had my eye on both of those; on the other, I have so goddamn many games.

I think I'm gonna go play VC2.

Really tempted by the XCom bundle and the Life is Strange bundle, as well as just plain Undertale (which isn't on sale but is cheap), all of which are $10. Budget is tight enough that it's really hard to justify more games after spending $20 on the 7 Days to Die 2-pack, which stings when it looks like I'm going to play it very little and Starr's probably going to play it even less.

I can probably get one more game and not really care much, not sure which of the three.

XCom probably has the most game for the money, Undertale has the best game for the money, Life is Strange is really fuckin' stupid so maybe not when your dollars are precious.

Life is Strange is, well, strange. I've talked to people who just adore it, but others who don't care for it at all.

Life is Strange is a fun game with interesting mechanics but also old school point-and-click levels of specific but weird logic and was written by a room of stroke victims who have never met a person under fifty and are writing for teenagers.

I picked up Elite: Dangerous for $14 and then somebody (probably me) cracked the screen on my laptop later that day.

I've watched my brother try to B5-style ogger in his spaceship into a rotating station with a joystick and throttle, and holy hell was it cool. I know there probably isn't an actual game build around any of it, but I loved what little I played.

I thought "To Dec 1" was inclusive to today and didn't buy anything in time (except 7 Days to Die).

Fucking hell.

Maybe it was different for me or maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but I just saw the dates.

In fact, GOG's winter sale already is.

There's great stuff in there. On the other hand, a lot of it's the same stuff that goes on sale about every month. No rush, unless you're Christmas shopping.

Steam Winter Sale is on.

Undertale is $8. Guess I should probably get it.

Plenty of the usual suspects, too. For all that I've been grousing about Trails in the Sky, I am enjoying it, and $10 is a good solid price. And I keep meaning to check out Axiom Verge, too.

And FF: Type-0 is 50% off, and...well, like most Steam sales, this could get expensive.

I should give Verge another shot. I got about three upgrades in but just didn't enjoy navigating the environment.
