Regardless for those who befall my bad linking manners, downloading the Battle.net client will allow you to download and play World of Warcraft completely free of charge until the 26th if you're a new member. So if anyone has ever been curious but somehow not enough to grab a demo or something, NOW'S YER CHANCE.

I expect massive amounts of low level spam if this doesn't have the starter account restrictions on it, though.

I am, like, tangentially paying attention to WoW these days. Are they still randomly giving Pandas away for free? How do I board such a train?

Apparently free Pandaria just comes from them noticing "hey, this fella has a non-Pandaria account and hasn't been playing. COME BACK!!"

Even if I hadn't seen the authenticator or this post in the WoW thread, I would have assumed that to be your raiding equipment.

I'll be coming by for sure! Probably later tomorrow. Trying to finish up some outstanding stuff on my old main before moving it to semi-retirement for Warlords.

Warlords is dope. If you want to have the best leveling experience in an MMO probably ever, highly recommend.

The two or three hours I actually got to play before MAINTENANCE+QUEUEMAGEDDON were fucking fantastic. Looking forward to maybe being able to log in on Monday.

Saints Row IV + Binding of Isaac Rebirth has been a good consolation prize at least.

I'm a little into 92 and everything has felt fantastic so far when it works.

Yeah, caveat, they've ironed out most of the actual "shit does't work" problems, but if you're on a high pop server consider waiting a bit. Fortunately for me, Dethecus has been dead for years, so I haven't had a single queue yet.

Yeah, the slews of hotfixes make me not so mad about literally being queued for 5 hours and never getting in. By the time it works a lot of the kinks in the levelling process will be ironed out.

6-hour queues on Area-52. Good shit.

Time to write autohotkey scripts to fucking stutter step and remain connected.

From my early AV days I recall that opening and closing your friends list is enough to prevent you from being flagged as AFK.
