letting raptors in the wailing caverns (or a low-level instance of your choice) beat on you overnight keeps you logged in just fine.

I was going to try and gloat about not needing to do that on a lower-pop realm, but apparently norn is already level 100 and looks pretty fucking sweet. ;_;

this is a pretty cool expansion but i am really not sure what my opinion is on the tradeskill changes.
maybe just because i am a miner which is 42,000% useless.

tanking is stressful

In response to these concerns, we are reverting the default loot method in Dungeon Finder back to Need Before Greed.

"People were getting gear too efficiently, so we decided to nerf it so they have to play longer. Can't let those 3 million reups get away too quickly, now."

First report, 3/4 mail pieces, no mail users. Lost only leather piece.

Double Rejuv is fucking baller, though.

Whatever the motivation, the mammoth loot tables for these dungeons only work for personal loot.

LFR Molten Core is hilarious, until the instance server breaks while you're pulling rag trash and everyone gets kicked.

From the same post.
We will be evaluating how to better present and structure dungeon personal loot, and hope to re-introduce the system in the future.

What were people even complaining about? "Sometimes we kill a boss and see no drop and that feels bad"?

Pretty much. "I'm not used to looking at the chat log to see other people win loot when I don't, so it feeeeels weird."

They're reverting back to personal loot shortly, though, after honestly one of the most focused complaint streams I've ever seen.

However, we underestimated the impact and positive elements of personal loot, in terms of reducing contention and drama in random match made groups.

We now have a hotfix in the works that will do two things:

The default loot system for Dungeon Finder groups will once again be Personal, instead of Need Before Greed. Full premade groups that prefer the latter system will be able to select it manually, as always.
We're increasing loot yield from the final boss of each dungeon.
With Personal loot active, each player in a group will now always receive an item from the final boss.
With Need Before Greed active, the boss will now drop 3 items to be shared among the group as desired, up from 2 previously.

The one I tried before going to work was apparently trying to set the record for number of Lava Spawns.

I'm actually deeply curious what the numbers are in each of those raids of Number of Vanilla Vets with MC Experience VS People who have never done it, ever.

From a sample size of one, I'd say about a quarter at least know what it was like even if they didn't do it themselves, or came to the party a bit late. I was able to kill about half with the Golemag window, which in a hilarious move Blizzard has made true, and still deadly.

Oh god I forgot about the Golemagg window.

Also, Core Hound reignites from the heat of another Core Hound! Not really sure how a group that tries to multipull Molten Giants decides to single target Core Hound packs
