Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I just bought it! Can't play it until I get home tonight! But I am super hyped, sorry I didn't read any of the other posts because I want all the secrets!
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I found the bellfry covenant and now I can't stop protecting my precious bell.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
Oh nooooooo! I got home and I had DNS problems and that sucked and now I can't connect to the server. D: D: D: ;_;
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
It's even more fun fighting the people who think they are good at PVP while guarding the bell tower. Being a grey phantom is exciting, but being the host is so much more hilarious.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I've wandered deep into fog and caves and evil farmers. I haven't had any idea where I am for quite some time. It's great
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I AM THE RAT KING
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
Where are you at? There's two places to use the covenant, and both are hilarious in their own way.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I was hanging out in the area where you first get it for a few hours just killing people and unlocking more traps and monsters. This was after I doubled back after going all the way through to the double spider. It turns out I had missed the bell tower too. I think I'm going to actually do Harvest Valley next.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
So, I'm really very far indeed now, to the point where I'm not comfortable discussing ANYTHING that's going on, but let me tell you this. Shit gets crazy. Like, totally cray-cray.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I would probably be done with the game if I didn't get stuck in PvP. Brotherhood of Blood is really disappointing. You need to do the stupid summon sign to start getting tokens of being an asshole, and then you use those to duel other people in the covenant to get cracked red eye orbs to actually invade. The problem with this is that it's really boring waiting for a duel most of the time. The summon sign is really shit because you either get a single dude who will wait in the area your sign was in, or you will have a posse of 3 who will just wreck you because they had enough time to get 2 dude before summoning you. The guardians of blue thing is just as bad because you only get summoned when someone in the way of blue gets invaded, and since red eye orbs are so limited I'd imagine that shit never happens.
They did a slightly better job making the covenants mesh better with the game, but it feels like they blew it while making them more fair or something since invasions can happen even if you've beaten an area or if you aren't alive.
Edit: Otherwise I'm done getting the 4 brobdingnagian souls. I could get farther in the game but I keep PvPing instead.

Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I turned in my crown as the Rat King when I found the Abyss Covenant. It isn't at all what you think it is. They need to patch in whole red and blue eye orbs for those covenants I think. Why they aren't first tier rewards is beyond me. I've been invaded a grand total of once, and I killed the guy. My time as a rat king offered a ton of free, really fun PVP in the idiom of that covenant, which I really wouldn't want to ruin for anyone else. Lets just say the fun house really never closes on the rat king covenant. Otherwise I could join a few others, in that I know where they are and have the things required to do it, but I'm not interested.

Did some belltower shenanigans. It was pretty alright, good source for titanite chunks. I do have to wonder how long it will remain so populated, though.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
Much like Rat King it's the only reliable source of something quite valuable, so probably forever.
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
game is incredible
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
all the blue phantoms find the one sinner on the server
Re: Brave Soul, Who Fears Not Death
I'm glad they fixed the connectivity issues everyone was having, now it works just like Dark Souls 1 where its a crapshoot, just as intended.

Simone Belmont is busy getting batty in the belfry, makin' like medusa heads and annoying the shit out of dudes with some dual poison whips.
I just need some chunks, man, just gimme some chunks!
