At least I'm pretty sure it's the same person. And if the calendars are canon, it's Rashida Scalebane.

Yeah it's Rashida, even without calendars. The same outfit matches the actual Rashida Scalebane card and other illustrations meant to be her.

Sooooo.... the asshole behind UnsleevedMedia and MTGHQ just released the name and city of every DCI L2+ judge with instructions to his mob to go dig for dirt, professing that WotC is protecting pedophiles.

Gee I wonder if this will go well for him?

Regardless, this is pretty bad for the entire judge infrastructure. No idea what remedial measures WotC is going to have to take to protect Judges (if they even can... and if they can't that's going to look REALLY bad, no matter how much of that is their fault or not).

And no, it's not the same Mike Long. This one hadn't even been born yet when the original one was playing!

Real life is real weird sometimes.

And yes, the Dread Pirate Roberts jokes are already flourishing.

(For those of you without context, on a historical basis MTG's most famous cheater is arguably a - different - fellow named Mike Long and one of his most famous cheats involved getting caught with cards in his lap)

Next up: A mountain drawn as a sinkhole, a plains drawn as foothills, a forest re-imagined as a snake, and a swamp as the grime that gets in between Serra Angel's toes.

(amazing link, Newbie, thank you)

Yeah, it's fun to point out just how absurd things have gotten over the years, but those Ravnica lands are still some of the most evocative landscape art the game has ever produced; to this day I idly dream about a nonexistent 2D exploration-platformer in that setting.

Friday wrote:"how girl fite?" is so disgustingly common in real life it's actually absurd, like all these men think that women can't fucking pull triggers with their weak little arms or some shit. Ignoring the fact, of course, that the most badass pirate of all fucking time was female.

I was so sure that was going to be Anne Bonnie or Sadie the Goat or whoever and was all set to mansplain that they ain't got nothing on Ching Shih, but heck if there weren't a lot of notable lady pirates. Funny how women in restrictive societies could thrive in leadership roles that were divorced from the law and social convention or whatever. I'm sure someone has written a better essay on that obvious insight than I could right now.

it's easier to just get hired by Wizards and print the entire reserved list

then sit back and watch as the cards all rip themselves to pieces
