Re: Nintendo's Witch
Just as the rule with Microsoft is "Always wait for the service pack", isn't it also a general rule with Nintendo now to "Always wait for the first hardware refresh."?

Re: Nintendo's Witch
I think these days it's "Wait for the public apology."
Re: Nintendo's Witch
Wii U was one of the best lessons out there against early adopting.
That and the Virtual Boy.

Aaaaaand preorders are sold out everywhere.
Re: Nintendo's Witch
Fridge cleaning in full effect. Hopefully the SD cards are treated well enough to work seamlessly (as seems to be the case on the 3DS).

I love that by default Bowser winds up being Nintendo's stock father-figure.

Re: Nintendo's Witch
Does anyone have this yet? Does the day one patch actually fix the input issues on the second snap dongle?
It seems like with the number of bundles and stuff this may actually be something I can just pick up after work with a little calling around. It would essentially be 100% Zelda box with protroller for the time being, but still curious if anyone has first hand experience yet to convince me to wait for the better version to inevitably come out in time for winter.

Re: Nintendo's Witch
Both of my brothers got them, but I'm playing Zelda on the Wii U.
Re: Nintendo's Witch
I gots me one. No desynch issues yet, but I've only used it for a few hours, and I've kept pretty close to the thing.
1 2 Switch is clever is some ways and bland in others. In any event, I'd say I won't be playing it a week or a month from now, so its price tag is massively hard to justify.
Zelda is wild.

Re: Nintendo's Witch
As expected I was able to pick one up by walking into a target at opening this morning. Unexpectedly I had to go four more places to find a protroller.
Got Zelda, haven't played it yet but that was the whole point so fingers crossed. Also got bomberman and I hope it doesn't suck because that was a totally unfounded decision.

Remember when Nintendo would just give away their gimmicky tech demos when you bought a console?
Re: Nintendo's Witch
I remember when Nintendo would give away complete games when you bought a console.
Never mind next week or next month, it has been twenty-five years and I still play Super Mario World regularly.
Hell, come to think of it I've played the original SMB as recently as this past Christmas.

Re: Nintendo's Witch
Well, maybe if you wait until black friday or another seasonal deal, you can get a game free with the console.
Most of a game, anyway. There's still going to be a DLC season pass.
At least they don't come with free-to-wait games. Yet.

Re: Nintendo's Witch
Did they really go with the slogan "We're Ready" for their launch campaign?
Re: Nintendo's Witch
Are you sure it wasn't WE R E?
Re: Nintendo's Witch
more like we reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
or were-ready (on full moons, it turns into a virtual boy)

Is.... is he saying what I think he's saying?
Re: Nintendo's Witch
If you think he's saying he hopes to have a Senran Kagura game that utilizes HD Rumble out by 2019, then yes.
