Adding: now that I'm not typing on a phone, here are the links for the Socks the Cat Kickstarter and order page, for whatever they're worth (Kickstarter's closed and preorders are done, but hey, you can look at the info).

The most immediately noticeable thing is the new box art, instead of the one from all those ads in the '90s with 'Tude Socks popping out of Bill Clinton's sax. (Presumably, while Tom Curtin bought the rights to the game, that didn't include the rights to the box art.)

Nah, it wasn't any of the well known ones. I -think- it was the one about the girl who can't tell the difference between real life and a game so they set up a club for her at high school where she can play the game. Yes, that makes literally no sense at all.

I can attempt to explain a few things

Corncobbing: Referencing the dril tweet

Gamergate Indie Dev: A gamergater is making the Boner Exclusive game The Last Night, and the story is "what if the oppressed...were secretly the oppressors?" It's really blatant, which is a shame because visually its captivated everyone.\

Why he is corncobbing I don't know, and I don't understand Milkshake Ducking.

EDIT: Okay further understanding has been provided by zara; While I don't know where the milkshake duck thing originated from (Wolfenstein II's trailer?), my understanding and translation of it, is that people got super visually enticed by The Last Night, and then found out the gross politics of the developer, which were relevant because he built the game's conflict on them. So he seemingly had a meltdown over it.

Further context, like where Milkshake Duck came from, or originated from, and actual pictures of his meltdown would be appreciated.

EDIT EDIT: I get Milkshake Ducking now. The etymology is the above tweet + the Wolfenstein II trailer featured a dude who loved milkshakes who got memed before the trailer even ended - or more importantly, before the bit ended, revealing the dude was a full blown "Show me your papers" Nazi.

The Milkshake duck thing isn't about the wolfenstein trailer, as you can see on from the date on the tweet zara linked. It whoever applies very well to the milkshake nazi from the wolfenstein trailer

Basically both the corn cob tweet and the milkshake duck tweet existed long before today.
