There's a trailer from E3, too. Naked Norman Reedus wearing nothing but a handcuff and dogtags with physics equations on them, vanishing babies, and a black beach strewn with dead sea life.

The thing that's really rattling around in my head is what Kojima said inspired him; a Japanese short story suggesting that humanity's first two inventions were the "stick" for keeping bad things away and the "rope" for keeping important things secure. There are so many games about sticks, and Death Stranding is surely going to have some of it's own, but he said it's time to make a game focusing on ropes instead. I have trouble thinking of many games outside of anything thatgamecompany's made like that.

Still way too early to say much of anything, but I'm still maybe too curious. At the very least, we got a drawing of the current cast jumping rope together.

1) That's more than a little creepy and has the possibility of definitely driving me crazy.
2) Wait, since when was a side-by-side YouTube player a thing?

Huh! Just watched and zoomed in on the tags. Looks like a Schwarzschild radius on one and Dirac's relativistic wave equation on the other. So I guess it implies something about black holes and particle spin or antimatter? Is that a quantum superpositon baby?

What a silly bastard.

I have theories but at this point it's like trying to deduce the plot of 2001 from the last five minutes of the movie.

Norman Reedus and the Funky Fetus looks appropriately Kojima so far. I look forward to finding out what you actually do of course, but for now this shit is crazy enough to hold interest.

Civilization VI, Dishonored 2, Final Fantasy XV, Pokemon Space Rocks, Last Guardian, Dead Rising 4. I'm probably leaving some other big release names from the last month out.

Not that I'm looking particularly hard, but it worries me how little I've heard about each of these since release. Anyone find any of them worth playing?

I've been playing Pokemon BDSM (or Sumo, whichever acronym you prefer) since it came out, I'd say it's the best Pokemon yet. The replacement for gyms gets a bit clunky but it's a nice mix up, and deprecating HMs is the best god damn thing they've ever done. Story was also pretty reasonable and drew me in a bit, which is more than Pokemon's story usually gets me.

My former roommate played a mission or two of Dishonored 2 over Thanksgiving, then said "... Wait, I'd rather be playing Pokemon right now" and went to do that.

There's been discussion of Final Fantasy Halfway To Porn in its thread here but I haven't played it, and same with Civ 6 but I would be playing it except I'm holding out for Firaxis making it functional first because Civ games are typically terrible until at least the first expansion DLC. I've heard people talking that it's the best one yet but I usually play Civ teamed up with my best friend and multiplayer teams are supposed to be in the game (it's actually just hidden behind a config flag) but they went to the trouble of hiding it so I assume there's a reason they did that (IE massively fucking broken)

Civ 6 is good and on better footing than a lot of previous Civs, but the UI is bad, and the tech tree/unit trees/wonder list/etc. are all thin. Hopefully DLC will address the latter at least.

Dishonored 2 is real fun, it's a bit odd though in that it is both a lot more brutally hard and a lot easier to break with your powers than Dishonored was. Also, it might be a bit short on content for a full price game. First play through with clock in at like 5-6 hours but after that you can beat it in 1.5 - 2 without trying to speed run or anything. So, seeing all of both character's content is atleast easy.

I beat it in 12 hours, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Man, you can do it without being a dick.

It's not working because the Tweet's gone.

(I've verified this by checking my source and also going directly to the original link which was https://twitter.com/countzio/status/808773111592128513).

I'm confused though. Even though the tweet isn't displaying, there is still content visible in the forum quote for me, and it contains 1) The text of the tweet ("THERE IS A XMAS HITMAN LEVEL AND THE TARGETS ARE THE 2 IDIOTS FROM HOME ALONE"), and 2) a link to the original tweet URL, which you can just click on and see that it's gone. Is that not the case for you guys? Presumably the forum Tweet widget makes a record of the text on some level so it's partially retained?

The missing pic showed a screenshot - nothing too exciting just the mission description text - of a Hitman Christmas mission where you have to take out two thieves. Their names were Harry and Marv (different last names) and describes them as the "Wet/Sticky Bandits" who'd been forced to leave the US after too many "botched break-ins". The bonus level is free, with solicitations to donate to a cancer research charity.

Can't actually get a copy of the image, because the various game news sites all just quoted that tweet rather than rehosting the image!

So does the Tweet in my original post show as totally blank for you or is there a plaintext version of the text like it is for me? I'm curious if that's the forum widget retaining the info or just my cache.

Interesting! I guess it's my cache then. Here's what it looks like now on my end:

The links technically "work" in the sense that you can click on them and they try to go to the URLs (which you can see), but of course the tweet and pic are gone.
