Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
Shoulda, woulda, coulda...
here's how I sees it
Suspected of being the second OT (Original Thingsta) in order of suspicion:
#1: Kayma did all the same stuff we jumped on Grath for, only he did it even more suspiciously! And then he went quiet... a little TOO Raph quiet.
#2: Ocksi hasn't been steering us wrong per se, but he did kind of pressure one of the flamethrowers into revealing himself which I'm like, not crazy about
#3: Sharkey might have just thrown Frocto under the bus to make himself look good, but he sure didn't waste any time doing it at least
#4: Niku seems legit... I think it'd be smarter for a cornered Thing to just shut up and take a dynamite for the team rather than try to misdirect us by role-claiming. I mean sure it could lead to dynamiting a dynamiter instead (LOL), but it could just as easily end up getting another Thing targeted
#5: LaserBeing. Hi! Please don't explode me :(
Suspected of having been covered with goopy slime:
#1: ocksi might not be an OT but if I was a Thing I would sure as hell have turned him by now, just sayin'
#2: Grath. Could have been a good turn choice on Night 2. After the whole drawn-out production of Day 2 I know I don't really feel like trying to get him tested again
#3: Yuri. Because Kazz is too much of an obvious choice.
#4: Kazz. Because Kazz is too much of an obvious choice. Oh, also Frocto voted for him immediately on the morning of Day 3, apropos of nothing. Maybe they turned him on Night 2 specifically to be a sacrificial decoy? If so, THAT PLAN SURE WORKED OUT WELL DIDN'T IT
#5: Gahitsu. Can girls even be Things? Who knows
#6: LaserBeing. I trust this guy implicitly. Definitely don't throw a bomb at him or set him on fire.

The good news on this front is the Things are competent, the bad news is I didn't get the meta and mentioned that I had no weapons during Day 2. Accordingly, they ignored me and went after other people.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
I don't think Ocksi is a thing, just because the way he's playing reads way more as ballsy plan-human. He's being just out there enough to probably make him a target that Team Thang wants to stay away from. I think the pressure on Kayma sounds pretty sound to me given the other options we've got afoot after re-reading the thread to date. Unfortunately I think there's basically no way I'm going to avoid getting turned tonight unless I happen to hit whichever Thing they send after me. I'm gonna trust Laser and Ocksi's judgement and vote for Kayma for right now while I try to figure out which angle they're going to strike from.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
The Day Ends. Kayma has the most votes to be tested and is therefore revealed to be human.
Night roles.
Night roles.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
In addition to the neither/both problem, we have to take into account the possibility that one of the flamethrowers has already been turned. It's too late to suggest now, but I feel like tested Things are really what dynamite should be used for while flamethrowers should go on their suspicions.
The day ended while I was phone typing this.

Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
"So the red stuff kills you," Frocto quips, as he melts into a puddle of goo. "I can... I can get behind that."
...
"You're a dick, guy with flamethrower, you know that?"
Nine players left.
Grath
ocksi
gahitsu
Kazz
Leaf
Kayma
LaserBeing
Niku
Sharkey
Four players right. (I HAVE USED THAT ONE BEFORE P. SURE)
Newbie - Human
Friend - Human Dynamite
Mothra - Human Dynamite
Frocto - Thing
It is now Day 4. With Nine players, it takes 5 votes to test. Leaf/Yuri has the wire.

Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
Still human, champs. I think we should maybe test ocksi. Or blow him up.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
Haha, that was a good one.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
test LaserBeing

Laser is a Human Being.

Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
...well, thanks for not blowing me up at least :T
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
Due to the holiday, I will be extending this day by 48 hours.
Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
I had been writing an extensive list of suspects and motives but I threw it all out in favor of writing ocksi's name in huge red letters on the wall

This is exactly why I think we should try again to test Grath.

Yuri. I'm still not a thing because y'all aren't stupid enough to turn me.

Re: What a terrible night for a Thing (Thing 6)
Okay, let's fucking organize this. Cause I wasn't paying close attention and now I want to at least try to win.
Grath, tested Human on Day 2 (by vote).
Mothra was a Human with Dynamite. He was killed by Kazz (dynamite) on Day 3.
ocksi has not done anything and has never been tested.
Newbie (Human) had the wire on Day 2 (tested Gahitsu, Human). He was killed by Friend (dynamite) on Day 2.
gahitsu, tested Human on Day 2 (by Newbie).
Kazz, tested Human on Day 1 (by LaserBeing's wire). I started with Dynamite and threw it at Mothra (Human with Dynamite) on Day 3.
Leaf/Yuri, tested Human on Day 1 (by vote). Yuri had the wire on Day 4, tested LaserBeing (Human).
Frocto, tested Thing on Day 3 (by Sharkey's wire). Frocto (Thing) was killed by flamethrower on Night 3.
Kayma, tested Human on Day 3 (by vote).
Friend threw dynamite at Newbie (Human) on Day 2. Friend (Human) was killed by flamethrower on Night 2.
LaserBeing (Human) had the wire on Day 1 (tested Kazz, Human). LaserBeing tested Human on Day 4 (by Leaf/Yuri's wire).
Niku has not done anything and never been tested.
Sharkey had the wire on Day 3 (tested Frocto, Thing). Sharkey has never been tested.
My top suspects are ocksi, Sharkey, and Niku. I think ocksi is a shoe-in for Original Thingdom, shouting advice from the sidelines while letting it be assumed that his advice comes from a wholesome place. His act is convincing, but as someone who knows ocksi well, I can verify that he is an excellent bullshitter.
Sharkey is a decent suspect, tending to agree with ocksi one minute then vote for him the next. I think it's possible that Sharkey talked Frocto into sacrificing himself to the wire to make himself look innocent (that same day he voted for ocksi as well, which may have been an overreach of the bus or could show his good instincts).
Niku claimed flamethrower on Day 3, voted for Frocto early on Day 1, bandwagoned Grath on Day 2. He has been sort of shouting sarcastic commentary and being generally unhelpful unless he wants to steer people's attention away from ocksi, which he also did on Day 3.
Can we win? I don't know. I don't think so. I think we're going to die in the cold and they'll find a way to the mainland and destroy our entire planet. And it will be our fault. Specifically my fault, I'm not allowed to write more than one sentence per post until Day 4.
